Dear Nikhil,
Thank you for your message and interest in our GMBA programme. Just want to bring to your notice that we do NOT run a programme with a specialisation in HR. The closest that we can suggest would be Services Marketing and Management. I advise that you visit our website and take a close look at the specialisations we offer and decide if any would be of interest to you. Our website : S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . Dear Sahil,
Thank you for your message. Yes, we do look at the overall profile of the student and take into account alot of factors like academics, work experience, entrance test score, extracurriculars, achievements etc. However I would like to bring to your attention that we expect students to have atleast a first class in theri academics.
However taking into account the profile sbmitted by you I suggest that you may go ahead and send in your application for the June 2007 intake.
You would be informed withing 30 days whether you have been shortlisted for evaluations. Admissions for our June 2007 intake have not yet commenced but they should commence around mid of December 2006.
All the best with your application! Quote:

i have first divison with distinction in 10th and 12th.
i am a pass out of thapar institute of engg and tech with second divison.

i applied for dec intake also but got rejected.I attended ur seminar in delhi where ppl from spjain said that for clearing spjain dubai admission stage one a candidate need cat/xat 85%ile(which was changed to 75%ile later) or gmat 600.
Can u suggest if i clear the above mentioned criteria ,what else i can add to my profile to cover up for second divison in grad and to receieve a call from spjain dubai for second stage.
OR as i have second divison i will automatically be rejected when i will apply for june intake

Hi,
i am concerned about the 'first class' term that you mentioned.
my engg aggregate is 57% and i have been working at as a techie from 16 months.
very good extra curicullars and my 10th and 12th % is 82. could you please elaborate on how important are academics because ive heard that sp jain gives a lot of weightage to academics. Just because you are a character doesn't mean you have character.

Hi Rutty,
I got an offer for Banking Management for DEC intake
But some of my seniors told me that there might be some placement issues as it is an Odd Batch..
They said that companies generally dont require MBA ppl all round the year as it incurrs a huge overhead in terms of salary ( unlike software engineers)
I would also like to know that would I be considered as a fresher in BM (as I've pursued my engg in IT n I'm working with Infosys, Pune for about 18months). Also, what kind of package can I expect if I perform well?
I hope you will help me in this regard. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to aaabbbccc For This Useful Post:

Iwas interested in the June 2007 intake of SP Jain Global MBA program.
Can you please provide me the details for the following questions?

2) How is the placement scenario in India and abroad in general (I want to do specialization in Marketing)

Hi Anuj,
Please note that we look at a students profile as a whole. Hence we may be flexible on certain criteria if a student is outstanding with other factors.
As for our CAT/XAT percentile we have always maintained that it is 80 percentile (pls check our website) and it was never dropped to 75 percentile . But like I mentioend earlier we are willing to be flexible on certain aspects if a student has other redeeming factors. You may reapply for the June intake as you would have more work exprience on you by then which would push up the quality of your application.
Thank you Quote:
