Hi,
Thanks a tonne for the immediate reply.. I guess that were words of encouragement.. I think need to think more of my GMAT score rather than anything else. Once I have that will have a clearer pic of things.

I guess that is all that I have queries bout.. IF I have any in the near future, I might have to trouble you.

Thanks again

Cheers,
Swanand

Hi maverick2k5,

Yes right ... You seem to have got the picture
1) Get a decent GMAT score 680+ .... 700+ is a must for ISB
2) Make sure u right GMAT max by Sep end ... The application process starts during that point of time ...
3) and yes take things one step at a time ... GMAT , then application , essays , then interview etc...

My best wishes for ur MBA journey .

Hi Dude...

Thanks for your help...
I did say that I cant wait any longer for CAT....

I will definetly be joining some collge...
In all probability NUS...

It's good that u r pretty clear abt ur decision.
I asked some fellows who have passed from NUS and then worked over there.
They r now settled in India..
All are reasonably happy with NUS..

Dude do u feel that only IIM's can give u a cutting edge career?
As far Im cncerned I dunno think it that way....

1) I am going for NUS this Aug session . Cant afford the expensive US MBA
2) U made up ur mind get going with ur career - what do u mean .. u not joing any MBA universities this year ?
3) Yes ...exposure in any Indian MBA coll even in IIMs as a matter of fact isnt that great...all Engineers , all IT guys ... So its ur call vs a cheaper MBA vis a vis a highly expensive but quality driven MBA . If ur going for US B schools , please go for top 25 B Schools rest arent that great ... Indians in top US B school have to struggle a lot before
getting a job of their dreams ...

Hope that helps ....

Hi amitnsitian,

Dont get me wrong .
If you see the post where you have takent the line , it is an suggestion given to maverick2k5 who is yet to write the GMAT

Consider this ,
Average GMAT score for ISB 2005 batch : 680
Sorry no link available for this

Average GMAT score for ISB 2006 batch : 690
http://www.isb.edu/pgp/visit/Class_2006_profile.htm

Median GMAT score for ISB 2007 batch : 710
http://www.isb.edu/pgp/visit/Class_2007_profile.htm

Still think suggesting a 700+ score to an ISB aspirant is not right ?

Hi Priyank ,

Really difficult to comment if only IIM can give a cutting edge career .
Depends on what u compare ....
1) If you compare it against top US B schools , definetly US school are a better choice .
2) IIM A,B & C are definetly offer better placements than other Indian schools ( except ISB ) And in Indian scenario , thats pretty much the "defintion" of cutting edge career for most of us , I would say .So IIM wins
3) Compared to ISB vs Asian B schools like NUS , AIM , I am not sure which one has an upper hand . Lets hope my NUS stint works out well

See you soon in Sngapore if u join NUS ..
All the very best for ur final decision.

Hi All,

I am intersted in specializing in FIN - IB and hence wanted to know about NUS.

1. How does it compare to the US top 20 ?
2. What about the job scene in Singapore ?
3. Where does it compare to the US B skools known for FIN (H/S/W) ?
4. Heard some ppl say ISB is better than NUS for FIN. Any comments ?

Cheers
Sumit
