Hi Puys,

I got a call from SP Jain GMBA yesterday. They have asked me to select the interview date..which is 8th/9th March ..in the link it is dispalying the only the date 9th March .it means I have the gmba evaluation process at SP Jain Mumbai on 9th March .I am in a dilemma ..I have my XIMB interview on 10th March at 9AM.It wont be possible to fly from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar in such a small duration. Its very risky.

Is it possible to reschedule the dates

Kindly respond Soon

hi,

thanks for all the figures below...can u help me a little bit here...i have also got admission into AIM-manila...and i've got into spjain-wm...my main concern is what are the placements like for wm people? do they mostly get into wm streams only? or do they have a chance to sit for consulting/i-banking jobs as well?

and how many consulting companies come on-campus? how would you compare spjain with AIM-manila? and of course, i would really appreciate a slightly unbiased opinion here...

and is the average starting salary in india approx. 10-11 lacs in INR, which does not include the dubai or singapore salaries ?

i would really appreciate any of you guys responding to this query...i would be starting in may 2008...thanks a bunch

Hi guys ..

before pressing the panic button with this pagalguy msg, read this one.... though we'll get a crystal clear pic by 10th, dats wen the placements closing !!!!

Cedar, KPMG - dubai placements for 10000Dh plus benifits (/month)
Prudential paid 30 lacs plus car and house for placements in saudi

CTS paid 9.8 + variable,

edelwisse paid 7 fixed,7 variable and 7 ESOPS,

ILFS , i2, iflex paid between 4500-5000 Sing dollars for sing placements
fullerton, FirstGulf bank paid between 16000-20000Dh per month

ITC paid between 12-16 lacs for placement in Bangalore

and thats across all specializations ....

i hope this info brings a lil relief

hi BlackBlade,
thanx for sharing your experience at SPJ dubai.
I am an aspirant for the course over there.i had applied for the SCM GMBA but unfortunetly i missed the deadlined and couldnt be considered.
I heard that they value acads.i am an avg student with X-85%(icse),XII-69.8%(karnataka state) and engineering from NIT jaipur(Formerly REC) in metallurgical engg with CGPA of 7.26/10.presently i m working at satyam computers at bangalore as a software engg(joined in 2006 june).i am aiming for the dec 08 intake but donno which exam to apper for coz CAT scores wont be out by then n i m not prepared for GMAT.Also the cost is a concern for me as it will be dificult to raise the fee if no loan fascility is granted to me. Can you please help me out with the eligibility and the loan factor? even brief out the stategies that may help me out securing a seat there in SCM GMBA prog.
if possible mail it to me at amit_prakash@msn.com. Thnx Man.

Re: SP Jain (Singapore/Dubai) GMBA - DEC 2008 Intake (Please Evaluate my case) - 18-06-2008, 02:29 PM

Hello ,

I m not weather u still reply to these posts or not. Just in case, u still do than please try to help me in evaluating my chances. Let me give u a brief abt myself.

I am a software engineer with 3+ yrs of experience. Initially I was working with Infosys and than I joined Investment Bank. I
had a pretty good and stable carreer till now. I have been constantly progressing in terms of roles and resposibilities.
Currently I am leading a team of 8 ppl. Basically, I am resposible for user interactions, requirement gathering, defining
business/application logic, delegating tasks to developers, making LLPs and LLps, Coordinating b/w various geographies so
on.. It is very much similar to what we do at client side..

My academics is quite ok. I score 82% in 10th(ICSE board), 79% in 12th(ISC board) and 79% in BE(IT). Also, I was quite
active in extra curriculars such as, won many prices for swimming (district and state leve). While in Infosys I was
coordinating many account level activities and initiatives etc.

Now, I want to take my career to next level. I am aspiring for IT Management, with SPJain or any other college which can give
me international exposure. In the process, I gave my GMAT 1 month bak but screwed it completely. I was able to score 570. I
am planning to give my GMAT again.
Meanwhile, I want to apply for GMBA @SP Jain for Dec '08 intake. I am not sure if this score is sufficient! I am also
planning to take up SP Jain's apptitude test (scheduled on July'0. However, I have certain question.

1. Should I wait for SP Jain's apptitude score or go ahead with my GMAT score for application? I do not want to delay the application as applications will be scrutinized on a rolling basis!

2. I have read in various blogs and also in SPjain's website that they need a minimum score of 650. So are they even going to
consider my application as i have only 570?

3. How does my experience (3.6 years at the time of possible admission) influence my candidature with a score of 570?

4. How is the placements for "IT management" course? I mean are they placed in Singapore or Dubai? or some where else?

Thanks in Advance!
