Now why would a guy from IFMR Chennai be promoting XISS on a public forum like Pagalguy? And students are being told that this thread is closed, and asked to post that itself has been closed. Utter confusion. Hmmm something is fishy here.

2 Questions:
1. What was the highest and average package for 2011 pass-out batch?
2. What kind of HR profiles are offered in placements? What is the HR placements average package?


for 2011 passouts, highest: 10.x Lpa; average: 5.x Lpa.
Mgmt trainee profiles: to work on all aspects then placed internally depending on suitability/ company requirements.

80-90 %le for general.
Last year the cutoff percentile for general candidates was 45 %ile.

Last year the cutoff percentile for general candidates was 45 %ile.
Don't interpret the college with its low percentile. Cracking GDPI is tough task.

Why the hell shall anyone advice for admission in an institute like XISS?

Here are a few reasons why one should:
1. Bcoz the professor of Organizational behaviour is the only one having the LEAST IDEA about the subject (& the subject is considered to be the most important in HRM function).
2. Bcoz there's NO PERMANENT FACULTY in another most important subject: LABOUR LAWS (the classes are taken by incompetent temporary fillers-like professors borrowed from neighbouring Graduate colleges such as St. Xavier's College).
3. Bcoz the Head-of-Department of Human Resource Management is a person who's academic background is unrelated to HRM. He has little idea of the subjects. He's not even able to manage good faculty for the 'FLAGSHIP HRM DEPARTMENT'.
4. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.- only 3 periods, with lots of them free due to either LACK OF FACULTY or INCOMPETENT FACULTY.
5. Bcoz admissions are through backdoors with under-the-table payments for seats. Seats are sold to undeserving candidates (with scores as low as 7 percentile in XAT).
6. Bcoz the LEARNING ENVIRONMENT (if you are generous to call it so) is nothing short of SUFFOCATING, with little or no co-curricular activities. (GOT THE JOKE?- we are talking of co-curricular activities when even the curriculars are not in shape ).
7. Bcoz the remaining faculties are trying really hard to UNDERSTAND THE SUBJECTS they are supposed to teach.

The HRM department is doomed to fail if things are not improved.

not intend to malign any person or institution. i strongly appeal

to the users of this social-site to exercise care & seriousness of
