N=123456.....125126. What will be the remainder when N is divided by 5625

a. 8 b. 10 c. 11 d.12

2. The smallest natural number which is a perfect square and is of the form "abb" lies in between:

a. 1000-2000 b.2000-3000 c.3000-4000 d.4000-5000

- Take N'=123456....125000 and then N=N'+126; Now N' is div.... 02 Sep '13.

Take N'=123456....125000 and then N=N'+126; Now N' is divisible by 625i.e., 25*25 as 125000is divisible 625. Now sum of the digits of N'=1+2+3+4+...+125=126*125/2=63*125 and so it is divisible by 9 as 63 is divisible by 9. 9 and 625 are prime to each other and hence N' is divisible by 9*625=5625. The remainder is 126.
