Gave NMAT today in the 4 30 pm slot. The test conditions were almost perfect. No technical glitches whatsoever. Prometric and the insular CAT professors at IIMs can learn a few things from NMAT.
One nice touch I liked was that the writing pad was laminated sheets and we were given sketch pens and tissue papers so that we could erase and use the sheets as we wished.
The wide LCD screens were a treat compared to the small CRt screens we faced for CAT. The invigilators were present without making their presence felt. And more importantly we did not have to spend half a day at the test centre unlike the CAT torture. Hats off to NMAT guys and Pearson Vue for their effort.
Now coming to the test, I thought that the VA part was quite easy. Reasoning was not tough but was slightly time consuming.
QA was the last part of the test. It was a mixed bag. There were a few sitters. My overall attempts were around 90. Expecting around 82 net correct answers.
the test was not as simple as some people in the earlier slots claimed. I believe only a superhuman effort can get you more then 95 correct answers.
Since the seats are more this time I am hoping to get a call.
