Yeah, you need to wear a tie for the GD.
As far as the dress code for the interview is concerned it is more or less the same. Fully formal with formal colors 😃 .

Its not funny at all,u may be a right judger wat u r wearing but not all,friend,personal presentation for a interview is about more than just ur performance... Nobody likes to talk about it, but clothes often leaves more of a lasting impression than your interview performance,coz,You only get one chance to make a first impression.isnt that? and offcourse think over it,if u cant help neone then u havent right to hurt his/her feeling....

I think, It can be difficult to choose the right GD/PI clothes.You'll probably want a balance between wearing something smart, that makes you feel confident, and squeezing yourself into your starchy "weddings and funerals" suit..So,all i can say to you,wear in which you feel confident and if still u in doubt then dress slightly smarter than you usually .
Yes, interviews are about allowing your personality to shine through and rem you r going to B-school interview then in my view you should wear tie.

Just be formal and wear all that in which u are comfortable... I mean their is no compulsion to wear a tie and suit but yeh u should be in formal.

In my opinion one should wear a well fitting shirt, a tie only if you are omfy with it .... and , if you want, a light coloured blazer/suit.
what you wear does leave a lasting impression, so one should try not to goof up.... wear safe colours like grey, navy, brown etc.... avoid black as it is supposed to be an evening colour, and most gd/pi s are held in the morning/noon......
but the bottom line remains.... wear what you are comfortable in..... formal that is... no shorts...:):):)

light colour shirt......dark colour pant.....tie.......its not mandatory to wear tie....but any if u are comfortable with ...go for it

Hi, I have in interview coming up on 17th February.

I've decided to go with the following: White shit, dark grey pants, black tie, black shoes with laces and white socks.

My doubt is whether a suit is required or will a blazer do just fine?

I don't have much time left before the interview, I'll be visiting the tailor on thursday, so I don't have much time left to decide. Its getting warmer in kolkata and I'm afraid a suit will be uncomfortable in the heat, I can carry the blazer with me and put it on after reaching the venue.

And if i wear a salwar , would it be make me the odd one out??
