Courses:

Masters in Management Studies (MMS): Under University of Mumbai. Selection on the basis of Sept and Feb CMAT scores and the gdpi by the DTE, Maharashtra. Course Fee- Rs.430000 for current batch. Avg package: 7.8lpa.

PGDM (Core, E-biz and BD): Autonomous approved by AICTE. Selection through CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA and gdpi, creative and psychometric tests. Fee- 6.6 lacs for current batch. Avg package: 7.8lpa.

PGDM (Retail, HCM, Rural, M&E;, Telecom): Autonomous approved by aicte except M&E; and Telecom. Selection same as PGDM mentioned above. Niche courses.

What was the cutoff last year for PGDM core?

@adityamathurr total for two years.. hostel excluded..:)

@shivamus the cutoff varies with the test u have taken. for cat its around 87-88 for freshers and lesser for work-ex people.. better to say the calls are profile based. for cmat nothing below 90 percentile will be considered.

What is the percentage of students who are placed from the PGDM course of the college(Mumbai)?Also, do they get the same oppurtunities as the MMS students in terms of placements?

Hi, I have been waiting for this thread. Please resolve the following queries sir

1. The cut offs for MMS and PGDM vary in case of CMAT. On various websites it is written that a score of 200 or more in CMAT could fetch a call for the PG Course. Do I stand a chance of getting a GD PI call at a score of 231 in Sept CMAT, Rank 1661 percentile approx 96. (fresher)?
2. How many students got placed in Mumbai and Bangalore branch last year?

@prakhar9 Sorry for late response... blame our busy schedules... buddy avoid using "sir". coming to your queries:
1. You are highly likely to get a call for pgdm courses.
2. Mumbai campus showed good placements despite the bad scenario. Bangalore wasn't lagging much either. To be frank placements were excellent for marketing. HR, ops and Finance also witnessed a good season but it was not 100%. That been said, no college provides 100% placements. Numbers are tough to mention. One thing is guaranteed and that is the college provides you with a flurry of opportunities...:)

@Chayan_88 Placemets are common for all the courses... We have a common "Career Management Cell" which works really hard and succeeds in inviting a lot of companies. There is no difference as such between MMS and PGDM as far as placements are concerned...:)

you do not need to apply separately for MMS.. the number of seats for OMS in MMS course is 18...:)

@adityamathurr Cut-offs are never announced .. But a CMAT percentile of 90+ and XAT percentile of 85-87 should fetch you a call.. Also profile-based calls are sent..:)

Is WE school PGDM equivalent to an MBA ...like the one offered by S P JAIN? Will I be able to pursue my PHD or higher education directly after PGDM from WE SCHOOL?

The degree provided by We School and SP Jain have are same... As per my knowledge you do not qualify for a Phd after a PGDM... But most of the colleges in India are autonomous and provide PGDM... MBA and MMS are those which are affiliated to some university.. 😃

I have bought the application form. For CMAT scores, there is no mention on the AICTE website regarding the percentile obtained at that score. So what should I fill in the column in the form which asks for it?

WE SCHOOL will be considering CMAT FEB 2013 scores right? I am a bit confused about the process flow for PGDM registration. Can someone please explain the same to me? I have got the username and password, using which I have completed step 1 and step 2 but step 3 requires me to update my scores for exams which I have nt yet received or appeared. So how shud I proceed ahead? How wil I get to know if my registration is successfully done? There is a registration tab on the right side of the screen but it is still the same as it was before submitting step 1 and 2. When will I be able to download the PDF to complete the essay type of questions? pls help.
