Apart from the above, this thread is ONLY for posting GD/PI experience and NOT for discussion of specific queries as this thread will be used by your juniors to get idea/feel about the process next year.

GD Topic: secularism: a political Fashion statement or a reality in India. ( 20 minutes)
After clear the GD.. The selected candidate were asked to wrote the summary of the Gd that happened. (10min)
The PI lasted for abt 15 to 20 minutes..
Basic question like why MBA, Why Tapmi..
Made a mistake of telling them that ROI is very good for Tapmi.
Quizzed me on what basis do u decide te ROI and all..
Then was asked what did I do in my job or in my college to show managerial skill.
What are you future plans after MBA.
Was quizzed a bit about aeronautics...
And finally was asked who is the editor of TOI.. Didn't know.. So said sorry..
In all a very chilled out experience.. Reached SIMSR at 9 and was free by 10:30..
But then I was the first candidate for PI...

The GD was really nice.. Spoke abt the babri masjid ka issue... SIT investigation in Gujarat... The statement on 9% reservation for OBV Muslim in UP...

I have done disaster in CAT and even after getting 47 percentile in CAT,still got a call.Is there any chances of converting TAPMI.Why have they given call to me?I am really curious to know.

did they ask for extracurricular certificates mentioned in the forms or only the academics certificates????

the GD was good, each one of us gave others a chance to speak, however there were 1-2 candidates who didnt speak at all.
We were drifting away from the topic and then again coming back but it was decent overall... :clap::clap::clap:
however we could not talk for 20 mins... we stopped before that only 
we were asked to sit in the same room while the panelists make the final decisions...
I thought only 1-2 people will be rejected... to my surprise 7 got rejected :o:o
only 5 of us could make it to the next round... thankfully i was one of them

the panelist described as to what we have to write ... summary that is... no pressure here at all... 10 mins to write... i wrote around 1 page...

there were three panelists.. all male...
the person sitting in the center seemed to be most knowlegeble and he only kept on asking questions... the other two asked a few towards the end...
some questions:
1. why mba? where are u from? etc (the basic one... thoda gyaan diya)
2. what did u learn in engg? (thoda gyaan ka try kiya.. bt may have screwed here)
3. no, we mean what subjects? (ohh ok.. told them the subjects)
4. ok u learned C(language), then they gave me a problem... it was very difficult... wasnt able to solve it... later on panelist said that i know it is difficult and takes a long time ...
5. asked me about IEM(A subject in 3rd sem in engg)... i thought u gt to be kidding me... it was around 5 years ago... how can i remember... :banghead:
6. what is the population of india... told them
7. where do u stay? ans: mumbai
8. population of mumbai... ? i was like wat the.,........
9. population of bpl people in mumbai.... now i was about to fall down from my chair....
he was like i know its difficult to know all this.. most of the ppl dont... :wow::banghead:
10. whats GDP
11. what all colleges u applied.. and from where did u get a call?
12. which place is ur preference.. ?
13. you have worked in wipro rite? i said yes
then tell me about pmp training... i didnt know... i was like whats that.. havent heard of it...
he was like... every project gives this training at the time of induction
project management program
i said i didnt get any such training... he was like how come? everyone gets it... ab mai kya karu mujhe nai mili toh
he was like are u on a project or bench... i said project...
he was like then it should have been given to u....

i dont knw what to take out this stupid interview...
