hey..last year the cut off was 88%ile overall and around 68%ile in each of the sections.

The application form is for Rs. 1200 the details of which can be found out on the TAPMI website or on ADMISSION 2008 - 2010 . As far as the placement goes, there is a very good blend of marketing, finance, and operations profiles being offered on campus. Profiles on banking, pharma, and telecom are also offered. Comapnies such as HSBC, Cognizant, Infy, IBM etc are amongst the prime recruiters. Last year we had 100% placement with an avg package of 6.66L and highest offered was 9.25L.

With a one year work experience in IT industry ( as of now ) what do you think would be a safe percentile for me to get a call from TAPMI? And do they have some sectional cutoff kinda requirements ?

The weightage as such is never disclosed by the institute but personally i feel that work ex always helps in a B-school. All students who apply and clear the minimum cut off are called for the GD/PI process. The weightage which you are talking abt comes in2 play during the final selection and not before tat. As far as a safe %ile is concerned, i can only give u an idea from the last year. As already stated, last yrs cut off was 88%ile with arnd 68%ile in each section. So going by the same, i feel that 90%+ would be a safe bet keeping a healthy sectional.

As of now there have been no foreign placements but this year v r trying very hard 2 get the same for our senior batch. The fee structure is distributed over the year and for us a total fee of Rs. 4.75L (including hostel). I cant comment abt the fee for the next batch.

The average work ex for our batch is arnd 1.5 yrs. There is no specific criteria for ppl interested in finance or ne other stream for tat matter. You will just have 2 justify your decision for choosing a stream (if asked). As far as consultancy companies are concerned, there are quite a few such as Accenture, Mindtree, IBM, etc.

Hi,
Few questions frm my side. I am planning to apply to TAPMI, but i am worried about the lateral placement. I mean does TAPMI offers lateral placement. I have a work ex of 26 months in IT industry till now. So definitely, i will prefer either lateral or foreign placement. As mentioned by you in one of the post, the highest salary offered for the previous year batch was 9.5L. was that for a fresher or a lateral?

regarding lateral placements, the 9.5L was taken by a guy having work ex only.

Hi I have one doubt As m writing bot CAT and GMAT can i apply using both scores ??
like do is it possible to apply to TAPMI thru cat and GMAT both the scores?? do i need to fill forms separately??
and whats the GMAt cut off for TAPMI??

Hey, Last year GMAT cutoff for TAPMI was around 650+...There's a person in our batch who got 660 in GMAT. And yes u can apply using both the GMAT and CAT scores...till last year u need not fill two seperate forms for applying to TAPMI...chk out the application form of this year for details
