Hi,

Since this is the first time SOM is admitting students through CAT, it is difficult to predict the cutoff percentile. Until last year, GDPI calls for SOM were based on JMET score alone. The admission criteria for this year have not yet been decided.

Any idea if there wld be separate forms for every IIT or just one form??

alag alag hi hai... last yr it was separate application to IIT Madras and IIT Kgp... so pocket khaali karo šŸ˜›

Hi,

I have received interview call for PhD at SJMSOM.

Please help me with regard to following Questions for admission process:

    Only interview or written test both for PhD at SJMSOM? What is type of Questions, Objective or Subjective paper?

      And what is Syllabus if in case written test?

        Is there any way to get old papers for Test?
        I tried Google but not much info there.

        What is the Financial Support that I can expect at IIT-B during PhD at SJMSOM? I guess it near 18,000 per month. But the broacher also mentions that

        In addition to the Institute Teaching Assistantships, the School has Shailesh J. Mehta Endowment which provides fellowships. Students admitted to fulltime Ph.D. Programme at the School are eligible to apply for National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF) awarded by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

          Duration for Financial support?

            Max and Min Duration of PhD at SJMSOM for M.Tech guy?

              Opportunity to become professor at IIT/IIM after PhD? What is general trend about it?

              There is no common form. You have to apply separately for all IITs :|

              HI, i am Vaibhav. i have 1.2 years of experience in IT. i want to apply at IITB but my 10th & 12th acads are very poor 10th 62% & 12th 52%.
              as i heard that this year the eligibility criteria for IIT Kanpur for 10 & 12 is >=65. so is there any criteria at IITB for 10th & 12th. can i apply at IITB.

                          from where did u get this 65% criteria information???????with 64.4% in 12th i will be in big loss........so plz tell me ur source...

                          Hi Ankit,

                          Thats right. CAT overall percentile as well as sectional cutoffs will be considered. But the exact figures are not yet available and will be decided by the faculty later on after all the applications are received.

                          Like it was mentioned in the previous posts, it is difficult to predict cutoff percentiles as of now.
