I am planning to appear for CAT 2014.
does my academics is good enough to get into Top IIMs if i get good percentile in CAT 2014 and my work ex will give any positive edge in getting calls???

Please tell me which is the best test series to join.

I already have access to the CL Mocks as I have taken the CL test series last time.

My weak area is verbal. So, please help me to decide which test series shall I go for TIME, IMS or other... ?

I am about to complete a dual degree course (b.tech+m.tech) in aerospace n avionics.Have already appeared for CAT twice without any coaching.Scores were 86(QA-85,VA-85,2012....0 preparation) & 88(QA-97,VA-51,2013.....prepared quant). Unable to make a decision if I should drop a year and have coaching this year.Or should I opt for job ? In the end I would surely go for MBA from a reputed instt dts for sure.

I just found out from somewhere(the other mba forum run by IIM guys) that the placements across the top B-schools(pagalguy top 10) have not been even close to 100% in the year 2013 and 2014 and that some of the unplaced people are the ones that have a good profile but lack in soft-skills. Does the market look like it is going to improve in the immediate future or should I drop my MBA plans for now and join the company I have been placed in ?

1.)Where would you rate my acads, w.r.t placement shortlist across the top B-schools ?
10th - 92.2%
12th - 84.6%
B.tech(IT) - 7.11/10 scales to 63.99% rolleyes
no extra-curriculars in college 😠 apart from community service outside college(no certificates or LOR to show off), certification course in marketing and data analysis 😃;

2.)Will this kind of profile be shortlisted by good companies in placements or should I get some of the better certifications to build my profile and write CAT next year ?
PS: I am particularly interested in working either in the Marketing or in the Operations domain.

TEST SERIES FOR CAT 14 ??

Which test series combination for CAT 14 ?

I have taken TIME only for CAT 13 but felt them very much tougher than CAT and also their Exam interface is also not good ( There is no highlighting option for RC's, analysis not given properly and also their AIMCAT centers also not responding well) Despite all these, the very tough quant (when compared to actual CAT) and the toughest RC passages in them made me demoralised and I feel no use in giving TIME AIMCATS (My personal presceptive i m not advising anyone to stop taking TIME AIMCAT series. )

So, please advise me a test series other than TIME ...

WHich combination is better ?? IMS+CL or BYJU + CL or any other series ??? the test series have to be touugher than CAT ( I believe all test series are made tougher than CAT in order to maximise performance on CAT day) but it must not be as tough as TIME ???

Pls provide ur reviews on all test series ?? also will it be a disadvantage for me if i dnt tkae most popular test series in india AIMCAT ?? Pls ans me ??

I think CL and Time are sufficient. But if you still left with some energy you can enrol for TestFunda. They are economical and good.
