The cut off for MHRM has traditionally been 5 %ile less than the MBA(Day) cut offs. For the placement part I wud ask someone from MHRM to reply, as I am from MBA department.

@koushik.debnath basically iiswbm sets low weightage for cat score which hovers around 10-15 % hence the emphasis is on your background score (10th,12th,grads) then essay writing + gd + pi..in which pi has maximum relative weightage...hope it helps

Are there any chances of the dates getting extended or the application window reopening after CAT Results ?
@ansh12345
You should take your chance & visit the institute office at the earliest.... last time it was extended, though only for a few days!!!!!!!

hello

i already applied to IISWBM.

How is Finance in IISWBM? i mean in terms of course content, placement , faculty , exposure etc

The faculty for finance is among the best in the eastern region, and the course content is also very challenging (as you would expect C.U. curriculum to be). There will not be much of a practical exposure apart from the Summer Internship Project or the Dissertation Project. When it comes to placement, Marketing has an edge over Finance as companies offering marketing profiles are higher than those offering core finance profiles. But still some really interesting profiles have been offered to the finance major students, and obviously the package has also been higher!!!!!!

Thanks @Sreemanta .

What is the percent of work ex guys in IISWBM? i have about 2 years of work experience .

Do engineers face problems in Finance ?

The percentage of work ex students has risen over the past couple of years, and almost 1 out of 3 ppl have work ex .......not really.... in fact the engineers have an advantage wen it comes to IT companies.......in other companies all have the same chance!!!!!!

will i receive any confirmation mail from IISWBM after my application reaching the office...?
