It was the same situation when GD/PI shortlist was announced!


Why is IIMB always like this? That too, being in the IT capital!

PS: Those who have been wait-listed, have some patience. The picture would be clearer once students start posting about their results and preferences on the various threads.

And, more importantly, those who couldn't make it to their desired institutes (in this case IIMB), there is no need to feel dejected. I am sure life has something wonderful in store for you. All the best.

1 last query, since they have already given 90 seats in extra, do i stand any faintest of a chance with a waiting list of 35?? Please some senior reply!!

I Have been waitlisted as WL11 for Bangalore. Other converts include I and K. This was the my only big call and I failed to convert it.

I was happy to see the waitlisted number but when I read the document given in the link all my hopes came crashing down 😞

The document says that they have given 330 offers for 240 seats and it also gives numbers of all those 330 candidates. Mind you these candidates doesnt include waitlisted candidates. So they have kept 90 seats as buffer and if these 330 candidates fail to meet the 240 seats by May 15th then waitlist comes into play. So effectively my waitlisted number comes to 101, which think wont clear realistically.

Congrats to guys who have made it.

@ Seniors of IIM B - Can you please tell us what was the number of buffered candidates last year and till what number did the waitlist clear last year. This piece of info will be very useful for people who are waitlisted like me. Thanks in advance.

I am still not clear about the 240/330 funda...does it mean that if all 330 want to get into IIMB, they will...or are these 90 part of the waiting list?
