The session for preparatory course would start on 19th June while for rest of others it would be around 1st July...

For number of final calls we'll let you know once I confirm from the admission office.

The fees has been increased this year to around 6 lac.. You will receive a detailed letter from admission office regarding the same.. You'll also be assisted by student council to get you the best possible loan scheme at the cheapest possible interest rates...

first of all congrats to all who made it to Planet I

U ll have to pay some intial payment like 40k by urself

also if u want to get the laptop from the deal by IT comm u ll arrange money for that also...

both of these wll be refunded to u if u want in the loan u take (if u want to go for a loan)

What is required to apply for the preparatory couse?

Apart from that on the campus, are laptops needed?

Are mobiles allowed?

Own bike required?

Looking forward to join brand IIM .

You do not apply to preparatory course.. They select the people themselves.

You can not survive without laptops. We'll be sending you the details on how to procure the same on cheapest possible price. We are in talk with the vendors for a bulk deal.

Mobiles and bike are allowed and required 😃 You'll need it quite often.

What is the minimum work ex one shud have to go for lateral placements....i knw this differs from companies to companies but still what can be taken as a "MINIMUM" ?

Also, it is quite early to ask but -

1. seniors wat do you think/feel is the class of 2010 a work ex heavy batch or a fresher heavy batch???

2. and the batch profile (avg work ex of a batch) does matter in terms of deciding minimum work ex for laterals????

3. do we have alternate work ex heavy/fresher heavy batches in IIM-I...i have heard so....if yes...how was class of 2009....i think it was fresher heavy.....

1. As far as I have heard/know it is going to be a work ex heavy batch but will have to wait and see how much of them have actually converted and joined.

2. Yes it does matter. 20 months would be a safe number

3. class of 2008 was very heavily fresher oriented while ours is clearly a huge work ex batch.

Just to reiterate
You'll be provided bed, computer tables, cupboards, curtains, water flask, chairs, dustbins, tubelights, fans and every other imaginable and unimaginable stuffs (ok i know i m going too far)

Class of 2009 has an average work ex of around 23 months .. you can access the details of the batch on Indian Institute of Management Indore - pgp0709-1

minimum work ex for laterals differs from company to company so it would be hard to say on an ad hoc basis .. but if there is a batch with work ex of 10 months and another with 30 months .. yes the average work ex would make a difference ... however i reiterate it varies from company to company

Dont have any info on that yet. Will let you know as and when we come to know.

dunno about hyd to indore, but indore to institute...best way with luggage is to catch an auto. should not take more than 150 bucks.

Can you tell us bit more on the academic tie-ups..What univs..How many students usually get an opportunity to go and for what duration usually..What is the criteria for selection etc
