FMS-BHU

2011-13

Hi saranshsharma7,

I have one question regarding FMS-BHU.
I am working in wipro since last one year and appearing in CAT2011. I am applying for FMS-BHU. by next year joining my work-ex will become 2 year. I want to know how many people in current batch have work ex. and what do u think, FMS-BHU provides the correct plateform for 2 year work ex people.

I am not applyig to FMS,IIFT,MDI,NITIE as i am not expecting 99-98 percentile but surely i will score moe than 90. i am also applyinf to FORE, LBSIM,NIRMA and other college of this category.

please provide some information about current batch and seniour placement and summer internship that would be more helpful to future aspirant.

gkumar in our batch around 20 students out of 100 have work experience.

hello gkumar49 ,
Every other college you are applying to is good thats why u mentioned that they are of same category but i would like to mention some of the advantages that FMS-BHU offers
1. ROI (Return on Investment)
2. Intellectual Capital:- you can have the idea about it by having a glance at the college brochure.
3. There is a lot of difference in studying under a university system and that too BHU... where you can interact with people from almost every strem you can dream of
4. Batch Size

N now coming to your second query, there are people with that amount of work ex, we have people with work ex of even around 6-7 years. We have a lot of diversity in our batch ranging from people from various streams like medical, hospitality, fashion, technology, commerce, management ...

Placement: Avg Salary: 7, Max Salary: 15

What was the last year cutoff for OBC??

only4iim last yr cutoff for OBC was 60 but conversion at dis percentile is a bit difficult so anything above 75 in OBC category have fair chance of conversion if u have good GD/PI.

Hi Saim,
Thanks for the information.

What about sectional cut offs?

With respect,
Asmit

Yeah i am trying for FMS BHu too.. Don't worry about cut offs even if it increases its relative that means more people are giving exams and though the competition is more but at the end of the day you would need that same sort of accuracy.. So dont worry lets prepare hard and get a %ile whch would mean our conversion cahcnes are high. 😃

Placement percentage and minimum salary..and date of commencement of course please.. 😃

100% placement, minimum salary of our super seniors was 4.5 lpa (this year's placements are yet to start so cant give u the latest figure)......course starts from mid july....

Another question sorry to disturb...was 82.51 the last converted cut off or was it the GDPI call cut off??

cutoff was 83.xx.........82.51 is not correct as far as i know. And it was the gdpi cutoff, last converted call was closer to 90 percentile....

hi, I am a 2011 batch B-Tech in ECE. General.
X-76.25%
XII-68.3%
Grad- 69.1%
Work exp- got a job in one of the IT majors, but haven't got the joining. So consider no work exp. :-(
My question is at what percentile I would have a fairly good chance of converting MBA.
Any difference in placement figure for MBA & IB

get a score in 90+ range and u ll be in a good position. And as far as placements are concerned, mba and mba(ib) both get equally good placements. so dont think much and right now concentrate on getting a good score in cat 2011

I am a bit behind in my preps but still around 61 days left for my cat exam hopefully i can do a 2 month job..!! 😃
