I have attempted 27.
My mock scores were around 80%tile in CF.
My advice :
1. Try to do as much manual work you can. Do not depend only on the review button to identify the question you want to visit again. Make a note of that question on the rough paper.
2. The level of difficulty is far less than this CAT's ancestors.
3. Plan time well. I messed up in DI because of the time factor.
4. Don't try the demo test on the center. The quit button on the demo might end the entire test.
5. Last but not the least be focussed and I am sure it will pay off.

Took the test in COPE Pune, I am sorry I am not following the specified format. I am forced to say that I am highly unsatisfied with the kind of an infrastructure. I was assigned new system to continue further test. Poor show by Prometric
We put in hard efforts throughout the year and this happens. CAT has lost its value in my eyes. I no more care about what return I am gonna get out of this test though Paper was decent for me. This is certainly not something i had expected for my 1400/- and efforts and scrifices I made throughout the year. I Am sad to say this...Many of you may not like whatever I have written and may groan..I am sorry for those who disagree..

Won't it increase more time in doing a question ?

1) Well as you have seen in the demo that you see only the question numbers when in review screen. I think knowing which question is which would in fact save you the time for clicking and seeing. In short you make a note of the question along with its details.
2) This was told to us by the center admin. He observed this in the previous batches

Just had a conversation with one of my friends who took the exam in Ahmedabad..His test went smooth...
And he did not complained about anything...
According to him, the paper was easy...VA a bit tough and DI was average...
To my surprise, he said that he found the quant easy...attempted around 9 and he is confident about 100% accuracy...
Note...this guy did not prepared even for a single day and found the paper easy...
so guys...get ur spirits high and give ur best on the day for which you have waited since long...
Personal advice:
Assume the worst to happen on the D-day...
Asume that the server is bound to crash and let the test start again..
Assume that the staff is gonna take long to get u started with the test...
Assume that it is gonna take u more than 7 hrs to finish the whole process...
Moral: If you already know that it is bound to happen and u cnt do anything about it...u won't feel uncomfortable...
If u will keep complaining about the poor infra and management, it is only gonna hamper ur chances of giving ur best....
I forgot to mention that you can highlight the text in the passage.
Also you can see all the questions related to the passage on the right and on the left you have the passage.
This is really a boon as compared to GRE and GMAT.
See .. the questions are all together .. as in whole of DI together, whole of verbal together n whole of quant together ..
But in english .. the parajumbles were not together .. eg the 1st jumble was number 5th, the 2nd could be 14th, 3rd cud be 19th that ways ..

No such thing in today's morning batch.
Beside the center which I went to "SCOE, Pune" was really good. No trouble there
Personal advice:

I would suggest quite the opposite. Just be positive from ur side, dont expect anything to go wrong n be optimistic.

Just came from a Centre Priyadarshini in Nagpur and spoke to students there. The situation is very bad here. The exam of almost 15 students was suspended here because of "server malfunction"
The exam started normally but after 1 hr, all the computers switched off automatically. After that these students were unable to log in to their systems. The others whose system restarted were not able to concentrate on the test as there was lot of chaos in the lab. The students were shouting with complains, the prometric guy was continuously on phone informing "the authority" aboutt the problems and at the same time, some tests had started and the time was running. The students had no option of pausing the test. For some students the image of geometric figures was not being displayed and all the prometric guys did was write their roll nos on a piece of paper with the problems they were facing. (Seems they want to develop a statistics of the different type of problems students faced in the exam and develop a DI question on it later).
I am not writing this to create a panic among the students who are yet to take the test but to tell you guys that CAT is not a joke for most of us and the authority cannot play games with us like this. i would be posting a letter to the directors in a different threat and would like all of you to sign it. Ask your friends to sign it too..
As far as the pattern was concerned, Quant n DI was a walk thru and English was confusing. Seeing the trend I think the Quant would be tough tom and eng and DI would be easy.

I wrote the CAT at AIT, Gurgaon in the morning slot today. Here is my experience -
1) How many attempts you have made?
- QA - 13-15
- DI - 12-14
- VA - 17
total - 43-47
2) Your last mock score?
- 87%
3) How was your experience of the test?
- Good. No technical issues.
4) What was the surprise element for you?
- Nothing.
5) Any tips to handle the computer based exam better?
- Keep an eye on the clock.
6) Your overall analysis of the exam. Toughness, sections etc.
- Well, in QA there were some sitters... DI and VA were easier than AIMCAT levels. In DI, it would be best to skip lengthy LR sections with just one question.
Personally, I think it was a decent performance but certainly not a 99+ :splat:

one good news from GCC bangalore.....the test is on today as per schedule except few labs.... i have gone there and talked with few students and confirmed that atleast IILZ7 and IILA0 is working... (thank god i have got IILA0 tomorrow) so guys from GCC just get back to work as the CAT exam is there as per the schedule.....
vin2988 Saysso according to the feedbacks i have seen so far, the iim's have tried to maintain same difficulty level and pattern fr every slot.. even the type of questions especially in verbal are remaining the same... now i understand why iim's have been so particular about non-disclosure of any exam info! guys taking it on later dates will definitely have an advantage over others because they will learn about the pattern and difficulty level of questions through various sources.. and as it turns out pagalguy has become one such source :wow::nono:
Dear, Non-Disclosure is for a perticular Q and not for the pattern.. If it was illegal, PG would have never supported it.. So cool PG is for advantage of people but never for unfair advantage.. by just knowing pattern no one can Crack the cat.. (Atleast I believ so)

My paper was in RV college of Engineering, Bangalore @ 10am. I was satisfied with the way it was conducted here.
- Checkin process [email protected].
- We were asked to put our baggages and everything near security, except admit card,voucher, ID proof. Security gave us a taken for our belongins(ya the kind which happens in shops).
- We went to respective rooms, there we had biometric test.(fingerprints were being recorded), Funny thing was for one of gals in front of me, their eqiopmnt was nt recording her fingerprint...hehehehehe....
- Then paper started@10.

- Paper was easy kinda. No need to take tension.
- Number of qs - 60, 20 each in section.
- Once u have marked ur answer and pressed next button,u cant change ur answer. So be careful.
