its hard to speculate as this is the first time IIT's are accepting only CAT score. It all depends on the applications we receive.

My "personal" opinion is that it should be above 90%ile

my acads are as follows :
Xth : 79
XIIth : 72
BE chemical : 70

I worked for 1.5 month in a pharma company and then i left the job due to family reasons.

If i meet the eligibility criteria then will my leaving the job so soon create a problem for me in getting admissions ?

I don't believe it would hamper your chances if you can justify the reason.Its just one of the dimensions in the admission process and if you work on other areas,there shouldn't any problem.

Till last year, the weightage for academics was not disclosed and only minimum cutoff needs to be satisfied for applying for admissions. Selection was based on JMET, GD, PI and workex, but from this year weightage might change due to change in selection process i.e through CAT 11. Admission process will be update soon.

Well i was worried coz i have very low percentage in XIIth so i want to know if there are any of your fellow mates who have low percentage in XIIth and got admitted into any of the IIT..??
What are my chances..??

The minimum eligibility criteria is 60% marks for General & OBC category candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST category in aggregate or CGPA of 6.00 on a 10 point scale for General & OBC and 5.50 for SC/ST category.

If you are eligible for it then you have an equal chance of getting an admit as any other candidate as their is no weightage assigned to acads in the final selection process and yes their are people with low percentage who have got the final calls.

Well, XII percent do not play much importance to selection... I can vouch on that...

Yes,I believe you can surely expect a call at this percentile.
