The Process and Format for Nominations
The nomination process is fairly simple. One just has to show his/her interest in the team and tell us why (s)he should be considered for a position
One can nominate himself, any other person whom he thinks is fit for a position in the team and also if one wants he can nominate members for all the positions offered
The following format should be followed for nominations
A brief introduction about yourself (including why do you think that you should be considered)

Your Strengths (like VA, QA, DI etc)
Anything else that you would like to mention

How do I put up a nomination? What is the criteria for getting selected?
Nothing much. Just a Statement Of Purpose as to why you should be in the team. Mock scores ( preferably a link to mock repository post of yours ) and past acads desirable. But what we are looking for is the urge to succeed against all odds. People who need that extra push to do well. Final year students, office goers, vella people all are invited.

I am Ashish Biyani from Kolkata. Completed my B-Tech in AEIE from Heritage Institute of Technology,Kolkata this year. I have been placed in Infosys and Wipro. I postponed my Infosys joining just because of CAT 2011!! No coaching... giving CL mocks..

CAT 2010 is one thing that I would like to erase from my life... Although I consistently scored above 90 and mainly around 95 in both CL and TIME mocks last year.. my CAT 2010 results were simply horrible.. But then I have learned to move on and concentrating on CAT 2011
Didn't convert IIFT... Didn't join NMIMS..

LR.. n can say some sections of QA!!
VA has always been a nightmare.. One thing that has been consistent in all my mocks is missing the VA cut-off!!.. Now with VA+LR combination in the new pattern and with some effort in VA .. hoping to do well this year..

Nice to see kdt happening once again.Team is just a concept here and those who are not getting nominated should not feel bad at all.It is just another way to show respect and feelings of mutual admiration for one another.Those who will be part of this will be part of a great history.
Kdt 08 had-few people who converted top 10 collges.09 was a bit bad in that sort-skr could not convert his call yet rohit kedia did bagging iimc.
'10 was again a wonderful year for most of the people.Irrespective of results each one proved themselves by bagging calls from top 10 colleges.
So the point is KDT as a team is very competitive.
And we know how many meets we do conduct.Kdt last year had at least arund 25-30 meets offiicially and unofficially.The most refreshing part was One marathon durga puja celebration at maddox.Nobody will forget that day.Pictures are available.
I think me,subha ,ashish and chiku are left from that team.
Anyways besides pagalpanti, i would nominate few of my friends here.

This is Tamal Samanta, B.Tech in Computer Sc & Engineering...am in PG since Dec'08 but only active in the last one year...
this will be my 4th attempt...last year very badly ditched by prometric & almost took the decision not to go for CAT anymore...because a whole year's effort was in vain due to some awesome(!) technical services by Prometric...but probably still had the yearn for the subjects & may be for that reason started preparation again by going against all odds & suggestions...
two things I have to mention here...
firstly, from that time I have become regular in PG...& again it helped me to regain my belief...
secondly, many thanks to a person who gave me constant support to my decision to continue through the long chats & the phone calls...thnx to subhakimi... :D

To introduce oneself does it take more than a name? Well in my case I fancy an impossible dream, which seems even more distant with the demoralizing mock scores and declining study-time curve(though the stalwarts say they don't matter, but they r scores indeed)..
To be more succinct, I am Saikat Banerjee, the bong with a dream.. No wonder I wander around this thread, quite so often with a feeling of being small, and I head back to the piled up heaps yelling out names like T.I.M.E., C.L., I.M.S. and more dots behaving like exclamation marks in a not-so-illustrious career, but then as they say it, one right move erases the past, and a future kaleidoscope evolves!
I tread on no useless path, I tread on to grab the least best opportunity, I tread on to try if not win.. That's more myself, than an introduction, i guess..

The team you are talking of is the MMDT. And to share a secret, I was the Captain of the very 1st MMDT. Next years Captain was Murtz who is my Batch mate at IIM C right now. So KDT has a lot to gain :)
I for one would be more involved in all the activities of KDT as i am now in Calcutta and would be mentoring the team.
And Besides KDT also has its share of Stalwarts. Lets make this year as the best KDT has ever seen.

i had watched KDT'10 perform from the sidelines. attended some of the KDT meets too. i was welcomed with open arms and met some great puys like first_timer, skr_14, leonayas and many others who made it to the top 10 b-schools. since then i have felt a special connection with KDT.
CAT for me is a chance to turn it all around. i've nothing to prove to anyone. it's only me vs. myself. i still believe, despite my mediocre past, i have some potential still latent in me. CAT is a chance to wash away all my previous paaps. Because there are no regrets, only lessons.
having been a person shy of attention, i initially stayed away from the DT concept. but maybe it is this "burden of expectation" that will provide the much needed spark that i'm sorely missing (any resemblence with the_bmr is coincidential). woh kehtein hain naa "Pressure makes diamonds".

Last year, I had the honour of being a part of the KDT and let me tell you all something, just being a part of any team on PG gives an ego-boost equivalent to getting a single digit AIR in mocks.
Being said that, I would like to suggest that member of one particular team shouldn't be a member of any other team. The advantage of this would be multiple.
I have observed it last year that many of the members of regional DT, including me, who were also members of DT and UDT weren't too active on regional DT threads. On the other hand, if exclusive team members(including captain) are chosen for regional DTs then there will be more active participation on the thread and most important of all there
will be greater knowledge and resource sharing, considering that overall more number of unique members are participating on team threads. I draw the validity of my previous sentence from the assumed fact that non-members aren't too comfortable with barging into team threads and by the time they get comfortable , the season is almost over.
The mentors are experienced enough to guide the team on trivial matters and so a non-DT/non-UDT captain and vice-captain can very well manage the team. We have the example of arion5, the captain of Pune DT'10.
Lastly, I want to say that we don't need team members who would constitute a team, capable of delivering great result; instead, we need a team which would produce team members who will deliver great result.

I honestly didn't think anyone would nominate meso first of all a big thanks to all those who didin fact in front of the stalwarts who comprised the previous KDTs, I am mediocre. But I have one thing in common with them, I have dreamt big and now plan to achieve what I have set for myself.
I joined PG last year, but started following the threads this season. And honestly the amount of enthusiasm is intoxicating. Even I want to be part of it, and not just keep myself motivated but others as well.

I completed my B.Tech in ECE from Techno India, Salt Lake this June. Currently I am in the category of "vella" people :grin:
Waiting for my joining (TCS) and working for CINI in Ranchi for the past one month.

That ended my season. Apart from that I had calls from FMS and NMIMS. The former rejected me, while the latter waitlisted me. I did convert IMT-G but chose to follow my dream.
Strength: Nothing in particular, though I am better in VA-LR than the other section.
Weakness: Accuracy, time-management.
