Hi All SPJIMR aspirants,

As we all know, from this year (2011), SPJIMR has started a new initiative called as the "Immersion" program for some selected candidates from the pool of those who had qualified for the Group Interview #2.

This thread is being created for mainly getting an idea about the number of the invites sent for the immersion program (of course among the applicants who are present on PG) and should be, in no way, be considered as the exact number of invites.

The poll associated with the thread will not only provide an idea about the number of invites sent by SP Jain, but also will be helpful for judging the calls with respect to each discipline.

Please feel free to comment on the thread as to what you think of the immersion initiative, its possible scope and objectives and what all we can expect from the day at SPJIMR.

A nice initiative I would say.........just want to request all you guys polling here to put up a post as well, stating Immersion slot and stream applied to. This way we can draw a correspondence b/w no. of polls and no. of posts!

i do not believe this is going to make much sense without knowing how many of them didnt make it. so we need options for those who havent got a call for immersion.
I am sorry if i sound mean, but that is the only way we can have this info handy.

Can u guys also post ur intw dates ?
This may clear most of d doubts if list is prepared for any particular intw centre or all centres & hence give some idea of further additions to list. Thanks !!

My intw was on 27th Feb @ Bang.
Got a mail for Immersion ( didnt book a slot though). I have applied for operations.

Most of dem cant say as mails are yet to come !! This poll only can give some idea in the long run. I mean by 6th or 7th of March. Thanks !!

Actually earlier I was going to put options for those who didn't receive the immersion mail as well, but then SPJIMR adCom and the website themselves have confirmed that they are sending email invites in lots.
So there might be some genuine cases who have not yet received the invite and may get it till 7th March. The poll would be rendered useless if anyone amongst these people comes and marks in "no invite" option.

I think I can edit the poll later after 7th March once the final list of invites is out on the website, but it might be redundant. Let me know anyway.

Thanks, thats what I am also thinking.
We should not conclude anything substantial from this poll till 7th March definitely, but just get a general idea about the number of invites.

Agree with Maverick. The "no invite" option is useless until all the mails are sent out.

Yes u r correct !! But after 7th list will b declared by SPJIMR itself. This poll I think is to serve those who r anxious about Immersion mail. Anxious in d sense, how gud is their chance to make it to final list. There by creating such a poll shall give some idea wid their own approximations to make dem (at least me) feel gud/satisfied as dey r still in the race.
Purely my opinion & may not apply for many here !!
