With reference to your application for admission to IIM Rohtak (along with other IIMs) the documents submitted by you and your participation in the Personal Appearance (GDPI) Process, we are pleased to offer you admission to our Post Graduate Programme in Management (Batch 2011-13) for the academic year beginning from June 29, 2011 as a General category candidate. Your admission will be valid subject to your fulfilling the eligibility conditions stipulated in the CAT-2010 Bulletin and any other condition conveyed to you through our web site communication or other means including clearing the Personal Appearance (GDPI) Process. Please send your acceptance of this offer in the enclosed form along with the undertakings so as to reach us latest by May 10, 2011 failing which the offer will stand withdrawn. You are required to send along with your acceptance a Bank Draft of Rs.50,000/- drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Management Rohtak payable at Rohtak as offer acceptance fees (OAF). This amount will be adjusted against the fee payable by you for the first term of the programme.
Please note that the Institute will provide only a bachelors accommodation on twin sharing basis during the entire duration of the programme. You will be required to pay on Tuition, Computer use, Library use, Room Rent, Teaching material and other relevant items of Rs.4,50,000/- yearly. This fee does not cover personal expenses on food, travel, clothes, laundry, etc. The fee and the various deposits and charges are payable in three installments during the academic session.
The Institute may run a remedial course for those who have been identified as requiring it in the quantitative areas and communication. Those who have been identified for remedial course will be required to report at IIM Rohtak on June 19, 2011 afternoon and others will be required to report on June 28, 2011 afternoon. Failure to report as indicated will be construed as withdrawal of the candidate, and the right of Admission will be forfeited.
You have been offered admission on the basis of information provided by you. If, at any stage, any information provided by you is found incorrect or false, your admission will be cancelled.
In case a candidate decides to withdraw from the programme of IIM Rohtak after accepting the offer and remitting the fee of Rs. 50,000/-, the acceptance fee will be refunded to the candidate after deduction of 20% of processing fee, subject to receiving his/her application in writing by the Director, IIM Rohtak on or before June 10, 2011. The application received after June 10, 2011 will not be considered and no refund request will be entertained.
On any disputes arising out of or in respect of admission to the Post Graduate Programme the decision of the Director of IIM Rohtak or his nominee, shall be final. All matters shall be subject to Rohtak Jurisdiction.
You are required to bring all original transcripts and work experience certificates/alongwith photocopies for verification at the time of registration.

But have got through MDI as well.. So I am confused between the too!!
Kindly help me with these queries :
1. Does IIM Rohtak have a campus of its own?? Can the Seniors Share a few experiences or pics of the campus as the site currently does not have any info on the campus and related facilities.
2. How were the summer internships for the batch (2010 - 2012)?

guys who are thinking b/w MDI and IIM...
Placements are mainly driven by alumni..
So this is a huge disadvantage for new IIMs.
Definitely companies like HUL P&G; are out of option for IIM rohtak..
But IIM is an IIM...( Brand name)..
But faculty infrastructure and placements are concern areas for new IIM's....

leaning towards MDI than IIM rohtak..! a lot of factors favouring MDI.. the only factor favouring Rohtak- "IIM"

First of congrats to all who converted this year. hard luck for all rejected candidates. better luck next time. 
right now all of my classmates are busy these days with there internships. so it is not always possible for seniors to answer every time in PG. but yes we are trying to help you guys at our level best.
I have gone through some queries you have posted. it's quite obvious that comparison between IIM Ro and MDI and other B schools will be there. last year more than half of our batch converted MDI. even some of them converted FMS and IIFT. but we have taken up the challenge to be a part of a new IIM. the reason was quite obvious that "IIM is an IIM", and actually this IIM brand name helped us a lot every step including our summer placement.
as per the summers are concerned, I have known a few IIMs and famous B schools who don't clearly mention any figures in their placement report. we have already given the company name in placement brochure. any one can easily get the picture of the amount paid by those companies during internships. So it's not at all a big deal. It's only the policy not to reveal the figures in placement report. yes, may be HUL PNG have not come yet but Cadbury , Reckitt have taken students. So in near future ..for an IIM , 60 Kms from NCR , it will not be a hard task to get its students placed in those companies.
please ignore those typo error in call letters. these things happen very often. in my IIML call letter hereby was written as "herby"

(I don't get a copy of that though :P) it's just an typo error. please ignore that.another thing please don't create confusion in PG thread. if you guys have any doubt please personally ask your mentors about that. we have gone through these stages last year. one wrong info totally messes up things. So take your decisions wisely.
