Congrats for the IIM Ranchi Call.
1. Regarding the question whether your work ex would be a hindrance/advantage, there is no straight answer. Many companies prefer work ex students, others dont. All that matters is, how good is your resume worded.... We have someone who has 46 months work-ex in the batch and he did manage to get the best offer on campus in the summer internships. (Details of which would be out soon)
2. IIM Ranchi is a close knit group of 44 students, enthusiastically motivated to create a difference. There is rigor in the academic curriculum but emphasis is more on learning by doing. Despite being a small batch, peer learning is immense. Some of the colleges students come from are SRCC Delhi, St. Xavier's Mumbai, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, Kirorimal College etc ...

see u'r chances are at par with everyone...u have a gud %ile in your category and u have a call.....tat means now your chances of gng through now depends on your GD/PI...hw u perform there decides u'r future at IIM Ranchi.....U'll probably get the call letter soon and dates will be mentioned...have patience it will not take a lot of time......

1 - see your interview here will be the same as any other gud management clgs....as u don have a work ex u'r major portion of interview will be frm academics OR resume OR if u can drive the interviewer in u'r interest field.....i suggest u practice sm mock interviews before the final one....
2 - u probably have gud 10th and 12th marks and grad marks r decent enough...if tats how u'r clg gives u marks, u don need to wry...if tat ques is comes up in the interview ans it with these explanations...it will be perfectly fine...
3 - see everything depends on how the interviewer takes it....if u'r able to convince him tht y u have done a specific thing....u'v got wat u want......so just be confident in your interview and explain everything....u'll do well....ATB 😃

There is a mentorship programme being christened right this moment.
All sort of interview related queries would be handled by your mentor.
You can obviously expect a lot of questions related to the 4 year gap and your academic background. The crux of the interview would be to show a lot of enthusiasm and the generics like "Y Mba", "Strengths and Weaknesses", "Why IIM Ranchi" etc etc.

60-70 would be the intake next year which would mean close 30-35 seats in the general category.
Infrastructure right now is really good, not comparable to the big 4 IIMs of A B C and L obviously but we have most things you would want... IT equipped classrooms,a small but growing library, tennis courts, night canteen, study room , recreation room etc ..
There are talks going on to get in additional land from the State Institute of Rural Development which would all but complete the needs of a full campus.

GD PI dates would be communicated soon. Please await a formal mail from the admissions office. Website is currently also undergoing a revamp to make it aesthetically better. 😃
