I got a call for IMT N @ 92.18 perc in CAT.

Its true that the college has been able to live up to its brand name of IMT in the short period for which it has been operational. But rest assured, it is moving up at a scorching pace and maybe till we pass out in 2011, it'll feature high up in the rankings.
More importantly, at this stage, I believe our only aim and focus should be to secure a final call from IMT-N. Only then are we going to be in the correct position to decide whether to take up that final offer or not.
Also, its one of the earliest gd/pi's in the season. So the experience can prove to be very handy.

Congratulations for getting a call......
as far as the weightage is concerned..... they are not disclosed by the college..... but from wat i have experienced last time......they were giving more weightage to the GDPI results...... as we had many people who had higher percentiles but were not selected. from wat we gathered, people who were happy with their gdpi were the ones who were selected.
Profile and cat score do matter but i'm not sure what is the weightage given to them.

i had a cat %ile of 97.6 :)

any idea regarding gdpi process for nagpur, i mean do they have GD or a Case Study and also how many interview rounds are there?..any yes, did read on the previous post that even last year a few of them had calls at low percentiles. So what i wanted to know is what would be my chances of converting only for the Full time course?

Arrey sirji, you stand a very good chance with your score IMHO. According to the grapevine, people above 95-96 percentiles are only given IMT-G calls and not IMT-N. By that logic, you are among the best scorers in CAT with an IMT-N call.
I believe that the CAT score has lesser weightage as compared to GD/PI. So you must perform well there and I'm sure you will be in.

Hi ugan,
Congrats on your call. Regarding the PI, it's a general practice followed by b-skool GODS (professors) all over India to lace the PI with more-acad based questions for freshers and more work-ex based questions (can't ignore acads in this case also) for experienced people. I doubt that IMT-N will be any different.
So for the PI we will have to focus on the following things:
1. Acads (more and less depth according to your profile)
2. Work-ex learnings (if that is the case)
3. Current economic and world affairs
4. Extra/Co-curricular activities
5. Anything arbit under the sun
I hope the seniors will agree.

Not all people have got couriers from IMT-N about their GD/PI call, me included. But you can check whether you have got the call or not at Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad
In all probability, you are in!
