This thread is meant for all discussions related to SPJIMR 2008-10 PGDM (2 year flagship MBA course) Admission Interviews. Please don't spam the thread with speculative posts on the date of the result.

The result date, as mentioned on the former thread is 24th or 25th December 2007 approximately.

Use this thread to share information about the institute, things that you should know before appearing for the interviews, tips for the interviews etc. Prasanna and myself will be there to help you out.

will there be another shortlist also???? when will it be announced and what does it really need for consideration, high CAT/XAT score?????????

Yup. There will be a 2nd list out, which will also take into consideration your CAT and XAT marks, whichever is better.

@ For those who did not Make it !!!

Folks, take heart...THERE WILL BE A SECOND SHORTLIST that wud b out after the CAT and XAT results r out. So for those who missed this bus, thrs stil hope.

Btw pls dont spam the thread on what percentils will get u into the 2nd shortlist. WE DONT KNOW as it has not been disclosed.

guess am the first one to post my profile here...
Class 10th 90.8%(School Topper)
Class 12th 87.6%
B.E.Marine Engineering frm MERI Kolkata (77.8%, College Topper)
work experience 3 years as a Marine Engineer Officer in with BP Maritime Services, Singapore
co-curriculars.... very good- excellent

prasanna/abhinav i have heard tht SPJIMR doesnt reallly appreciate wotk experience in merchant navy....dnt really kno whether it is true or nt heard it durin my college time frm sm of my seniors...can u put sm light on it??

I have been shortlisted for Information Magaement Specialisation.
Can the seniors please throw some lght on how to prepare for the GD/PI?

1. This is the first time I am applying for the college, (in fact the first time I have decided to take the MBA entrance exams), so I am not at all aware of the tricks and tips of the trade.

2. Also, I have not done very well in CAT. My doubt is that if I am selected for admission, and then if it so happens that my XAT/CAT percentile does not go above 85%, will my admission be revoked?

Any idea would help!!!

Hey, The profile sheet is already uploaded in the website. The profile sheet can be downloaded by clicking the link Profile Sheet on the right hand side under related links tab.

Here are the stats:

The total number of calls given are: 1259:wow:

The branch-wise split is :
326 : Marketing
451 : Finance
268 : Information Management
214 : Manufacturing and Operations

Has anyone any idea about how many seats are available in SP Jain? Do they have separate number of seats for each specialization?
