Sir
Thanks for all ur Help sir

my point is i have 2 years of workex in India

and now i am doing my masters in engg in US

and i always wante to do an MBA from a reputed institute

but now as i am already doing my MS in Chemical Engg does that mean if i write GMAT after my MS and work for 2 or 3 years and then apply for MBA at ISB would i have any problems basically because i have done my masters in engg and again applying for maters in MBA

are there any such candidates in the present call ??

Thanks
Krishna
hi Ashish

Then what about ISB Hyderabad

What do u feel about that ISB's one year proggramme

some are saying it is more valued by the industry than that of many of the iims ??

please pour in ur views
thankks to PG
I think u are mistaken somewhere

See a person getting 8.5 on a scale of 10 gets 85%

but as in ur case a person getting 8.5 on a scale of 9 is equal to 92.65% on a scale of 10

(u are taking the CGPA as 8.5/9*10 which indeed is a wrong formulae:biggrin: )

rest assured
8.5 on a scale of 9 is always higher than 8.5 on scale of 10

Hey puys

I do have a problem with one of the clauses in CAT Notification:--

1) It is been writtten that if ur grad scores are in terms of C.G.P.A (in terms of grades),then u should use the multiplication factor as mentioned by ur college. If ur college doesn't have any procedure to change the C.G.P.A to percentage then calucalate the percentage as follows :--- ( (ur c.g.pa.)/ (Maximum C.G.PA.)) * 100

now this method makes the multiplication factor for people falling in 2nd category as 10
which is an undue advantage for them

My college has multiplication factor of 9(iits have 9.5) and thus my c.g.p.a of 8.5 will become 76.5% ....guy with the same c.g.p.a and with his or her college not giving any procedure for conversion will have percentage of 85....this is grossly wrong and unfair to people like me........ iim's must look in to this

What do u say puys???????
i need some info regarding US Business schools

i have read somewhere that u wont be accepted into good business schools with a workex more than 6 to 7 years

is that really true

presently i have 2 years workex and now in jan 08 i will be going for MS in us

i wish to have a workex of say another four years and then get into a US b school (as as of now my credentials are not supportive enough to get me into a good b school in US )

am i thinking in a wrong way ???

and we need to sped a lot of amount on MBA if it is from us

how many years does it take to get the investment back ???

~Tinman

No body is answering My question
"my friends are doing MS in US and what i heard from them is
they will be getting software jobs with an initial pay of 60K $

the way they put is

they will be approaching a consultant soon after completion of their MS and the consultant will search jobs for them and show the two years as workex from some company and the initial pay can be expected to be around 60K USD

to what extent is that true please enlighten "
