First of all, a big hello to all IMERians.
I am a Chemical Engineer with 4 yrs of work ex in manufacturing sector.I hv applied for IEMR and will b having my interview on 17th.
Have got a lot of info about this institute,courtesy all u gr8 paguys.
Just 1 genuine concern,till nw in the website there has not been any mention of the pay packages being offered to the students.
So please throw some light on this area:
1)No of students placed
2)Pay pckg offered-Highest,median,lowest
3)Profiles offered
I am too much interested in joining this course,and specially the institute.But am lill skeptical in leaving an already established job.Hope yo understand my genuine concerns.
A proper reply to my queries will help me take my decision rightly.Hoping to get a quick reply.

We are the pioneer batch of the institute, so we cannot help you in letting you know bot the package details:oops:. We have been told that based on our performance at our internship we will get better packages at the industry level. We believe it is a very uniq course and we have more open opportunities in the energy sector.

We understand your concerns, but to be very frank most of the ppl at our batch came from reputed companies and left good packages too. If you are really interested in pursing an course in the energy sector, you can blindly follow your decision. Anyway it is better that you analyse the job opportunities in the energy sector and then you join the course, if you are convinced.

This is to those who want to join iemr. Please read below before joining
We are 39 student. Two of us left. One because he got job and second because she was not offered sponsorship after she was guaranteed that she will get it. (she had left ISRO due to this lie of college)
The college campus, hostel and almost all teachers are rented
We were told that we will shift in permanent campus in 6 months but nothing has started
All of us got internship. but none got what he wanted. It is all jugad just to place us for namesake. Most of us have not given interview for it but just placed through contacts with HR
Classes are there everyday from morning to evening. We get no holiday even on weekend. (you cant bunk also-90% attendance is required). If we go to our hometown and come one or two days late then we are charged fine. (Rs. 5000)
we were told AICTE approval will be there in few months.nothing done till now for that also
WE HAVE PAID ANNUAL HOSTEL FEES. NOW THEY ARE ASKING EXTRA FOR STAYING IN HOSTEL DURING INTERNSHIP
The student cant raise their voice. We have to do what is told by management. Otherwise they threaten to give attendance back in subjects. There is total monopoly of management in everything
WE CAN TAKE THIS COLLEGE TO COURT FOR MANY LIES THAT THEY HAD TOLD US BEFORE JOINING.BUT WE CANT BECAUSE CAREER IS AT STAKE. THIS IS GROUND REALITY OF IEMR BY A WELL WISHER.




First of all it was very shocking to see such kind of bad posts in a proper thread which is dedicated to IEMR aspirant queries......

@iemrstudent.. You may have many internal problems with the institute, but this is not the proper way of dealing things.... If you are really an IEMR student you mi8 have not done in this way....

To be very frank, IEMR management is not dealing the students in the way 'iemrstudent' mentioned. IEMR management has given all the ri8s to students to discuss bot their problems to the management at any particular time....

IEMR is training the students for corporate practices.... We have a dedicated session for personality development there they are focusing on corporate behaviors.. none other b school has these many industry interaction that we are having.... we have many advantages of being in to IEMR..


I request the moderators to look in to iemrstudent posts and take necessary action.. Since it is adding bad credits for a good institute..

as other things we hv to write r own...

and its ur choice if u wanna give a url frm where u wrote a summary of book...

there wont be any issue in using wikipedia, but it would be better if we add references tab(give url's frm where info is taken) in our assignment before submitting.
