Well I have some more doubts, if you can throw some light that will be great.

-->What's the general compensation package for a MT from a Tier-1 B-school?

-->How much a MT take home in hand? If the compensation structure say, x lakh p.a. how much percentage is the take home.

-->How much percentage increment happens when one move from MT to AM?

1) How is Mu-Sigma for MBAs passing out from tier-1 management colleges in India ? How good is the job profile (Associate manager & above) for them ?
2) Do they also perform analysis in tools e.g. SAS, VBA, excel (technical stuff) or they get into more of project management, client/relationship management, result interpretation & strategy recommendation to the client etc ?
3) Are there opportunities to go to management consultancy firms (Non-IT) with post MBA Mu-sigma experience ?
4) What about the onsite opportunity, realistically ?
5) Do the MBAs experience salary growth similar to engineers (8 lakhs in 3rd yr starting from 3), in relative scale ?

Please help this soul to satiate the above queries.

@Apurv What I was saying is people should choose a b-school 'not only' on past records but should also see that what that institute has to offer holistically. Past records will give them the idea of how the said B-school culture will help him to develop and transform oneself. Again I am not saying that one should look and decide on a B-school based on what see on papers. In India we have a forte of going by rankings, I am saying one should go by one's own choice and how the B-school fits into his scheme of things. I believe I made myself clear.

@All Aspirants, who will be applying to colleges or selecting their final destination, I will say the following: "Analyze an institute not only from the past rankings and salary figures but most importantly look at what the institute has to offer in terms of curriculum and how do they prepare students for tomorrow. Focus on a mix of development on the holistic and cognitive fronts and then choose wisely."

@Abhishek_sharma, You are right when you said "Brand perception aside, shouldnt placement be all about talent and campus culture" But I will say that you are a bit blind-spotted about brand perception. Being in IIM, I now understand that IIM is not only about the brand. The brand is created on values, the initiative,the culture and the director's vision and the way things are being implemented. Don't you think ABC which will look into those qualities before agreeing to recruit from our campus. We invited them not to recruit from our campus but to gauge our talent potentials. If they find someone who fits into their work-culture why shouldn't they take it. Being a new IIM, we have the luxury to come out of status-quo trap, and create a unique institute for which we along with our Director are working on that. I am happy to tell you that the main focal point of our pedagogy is our innovative curriculum and the way we approached it. We are working on many initiatives which will bear fruit in times to come when we are not around. But I believe IIMU will stands its own ground. I won't be just other IIM, it will be IIMU. We dont disrespect or compare us with other B-schools. Each B-school has their own soul, theirs strengths and weaknesses. We respect them for that and hope to learn from them too. About talent, it's a individual space for me to comment. I will say, just like B-schools, everyone is uniquely talented. Yes you are right but not fully.

@JEE2CAT, Shake-ups are always welcome and are necessary for innovation. iPhone or Galaxy, all'ss good if there provide value to the user. @young monk, It's provided by BSNL for nominial fee under it's educational scheme. @All, Being from a new institute and working out from a temporary campus, infra problem will always be there as it takes time for develope quality infra. Well I would like to say that Academic infrastructure that is being provided is without any compromise on quality. We take pride on the taught by professors of highest quality and a coming out of age curriculum. Our Director has great vision, we hope to help him in his endeavour in making this institute one of a kind that stands on its own. Being new is not that bad too.

@saurabh.spnf, yes IIMU have a 1GBPS line. It's under BSNL's special scheme for educational institutes. Your sighted article is refering to optical fibered 1gbps speed for a workstation, we are here talking about 1Gbps leased line for a institute. Check IIT Kanpur bandwidth you will know. Thanks
