Now I guess I'll have to stop waiting for GIM. Have to pay my fee in Nirma by the 21st. Couldn't decide between them. Getting absolutely no info from the admin office.... :: ??:

Confused as confused can be right now..hv MICA in hand too..& cant decide..cud I get some inputs from seniors?..thanks a ton..

Well MICA and GIM have very different profiles... you should decide based on your interests ... whether you want a media related or otherwise. Dont go there just becase its goa.... Besides if you leave it I might just make it as i'm on the waiting list! Just kidding... ATB

Got a letter for the second list too but it had no mention of the waitlist no.! Just that we have a "good chance" of getting in.... have the others got the same? When will we know something definite? Have to decide between nirma and gim soon.

Hey rahul...thanks.
I was on the waitlist last year too and was told that i'm 6th. But it just didn't move.
So just worried that a repeat might happen this year too. And i think there are different waitlists for girls and boys due to the hostel space.

guys how good is the book "the life of PI" ? Is it worth a read ?

Hi dinesh.... Life of pi is a really good book. But its not a thrilling read or something.
More of a philosophical type with lots of thinking to do. As its about a boy whos afloat in the ocean with a tiger and a hyena for company....:satisfie: But ultimately its good.
If you like such books then dont miss it..... very refreshing.

I like the Straits too... and Mark Knopfler... I just love this guys' guitaring... love his picking and clean style... especially in "Sultans of Swing" and "Lady Writer".
However, apropos his voice... you get the impression he dosen't really SING as much as reciting poetry or narrating a story... that IS one of the great corner stones of DS music - more of telling a story rather than singing a song... and like it was mentioned in the sleeve of the SoS album, "not making words rhyme just for the heck of it". Really love this guy's voice and the gruffy way he sings... my personal faves wrt his voice are "Tunnel of Love" and "Brothers in arms"...

I absolutely agree with you. Thats what i love most about his singing. Its the most soothing and you can actually hear each and every word clearly... BTW we're in good company. Tendulkar too is a huge fan of his!
