Guys.. 1st day 1 slot interviewee..
The exercise was supposed to start at 8-8.30 AM, but it never did happen until after 9. We were told to sit in a class room.
Document verification began and those people whose docs were verified were sent for the first round PI. This round was more of the why MBA, why now, what is your vision 5 years down the line type questions..
Then there is a huge wait.. I had to wait almost 4.5 hours before my turn came for the second interview (of course with a lunch break thrown in).
The second interview is a group interview and one has to be quick on the money here and the defense of your answers has to be up to the notch, I feel.
Met himanshu there and he said this(the second interview) is the important one. I see why he said that. it is more free flowing, but can catch you off guard while you are at it.
I ended up leaving the campus by 4. So guys who are booking their return flights, have some buffer incorporated. Although the faculty was nice and accommodated people who had to leave early for a flight.

Dude...really thx for the insights....!! any pointers on what sorta questions were there in the GI rounds would b highly appreciated. were they asking current affairs sorta questions or anything under the sky? also, what ws the duration of GI? Any essays?
cheers!

Please anybody answer this question with proper explaination--

Question:

John Maynard Keynes, the greatest economist of the twentieth century, once wrote an essay on another Cambridge genius, the scientist and mathematician Isaac Newton.

a)the greatest economist of the twentieth century, once wrote an essay on another Cambridge genius, the scientist and mathematician
b)the great economist of the twentieth century, once wrote an essay on another Cambridge genius, the scientist and mathematician
c)the greatest economist of the twentieth century, once wrote an essay about another Cambridge genius, the scientist and mathematician
d)the greatest economist of the twentieth century, once wrote an essay on another Cambridge genius, who was a scientist and the mathematician
e)who was one of the greatest economists in the twentieth century, once wrote an essay on another Cambridge genius, the scientist and mathematician

in D and E...'who' is not required. Essay + about is unidiomatic...so C also goes. As far as I understand...b/w A and B....'greatest economist of the twentieth century' makes more sense rather than..'great economist of the twentieth century'.
u always say 'greatest ...of all' and not 'great...of all'. So greatest + of is idiomatic. I would go for A.

(A) had he not been held in check by his superiors
(B) had his superiors not held him in check
(C) if his superiors had not held him in check
(D) if he was not held in check by his superiors
(E) when not held in check by his superiors

'superiors' should be before comma as .. superiors are mentioned just after the comma
so B,C are eliminated.
since this is conditional .. when is wrong in E and it is eliminated.
left with A,D....
A looks like a is correct choice.

Who told u superiors should be b4 the comma???Didn't get the logic!!! D is outrightly wrong....if+was is always wrong. A seems wrong...'By his superiors' seems wordy. D and E are also wordy...B seems to be the safest bet.
