my dream.....come true....!
work ex : 3yrs (2 in IT , 1 in derivatives)
Slot - 26th March,2011 Kolkata
I also passed .
I had done very bad in alternative instruments but have been saved by other sections.
I am also one of the sufferers in VA on "Black" 5th Dec slot -
VA - 67 marks / 89.77%
I am best in VA section than other two and have got calls from IIFT and FMS largely due to good VA scores only .
Something wrong(discrepancy) is surely there in way of judging VA scores in this slot . Maybe questions attempted incorrectly have been penalised too highly as someone was saying - +7.5 and -5 for wrong .
Add me also to this list .

Artificial Intelligence - Will man be ever replaced by machines?
Artificial Intelligence is the technology through which logical decision making can be brought in machines based on training the system using a number of trials.Mechanical jobs are now increasingly performed by machines instead of humans. But that is also where the limit of machines lie.
Machines act on data and logic fed into them. They cannot themselves think on the spot , mould their thinking and reaction mechanism according to the circumstances. Like in stock markets, machines can outdo humans in normal trends of stock picking and selling based on algorithmic trading. But only a human can gauge the unexplored opportunities, act on intuitions and trade profitably in turbulent and unexpected market conditions.
Machines will takeover only those jobs from humans which require following well- defined rules and regulations and generating expected outputs.Though machines can provide all the data analysis, possible approaches but the surgeon is definitely required to perform the operation.Eventually though machines would play a greater role in assisting humans in their social ,cultural and economical lives , but they would always remain a means for humans rather than replacing the humans themselves.
