Hey Guys,
Well well, three years one MBA and a year an a half at a job, since I used PG last. I'm back to remembering those times when I was up all night trying to catch up with what the guys on here had to say about the CAT'05. So, what brings me back? It's the desire and the hunger to do another MBA from an IVY league school (Something I've always wanted to do).
Well for a brief intro to go I'm a pass-out of the class of 2007 from ICFAI Hyderabad, post my MBA I've been working with GE in a risk function, besides I had entrepreneurial work-ex prior to my MBA.
I intend to apply for either in 2010 or 2011, however I do intend to take my GMAT in Feb'09 (Need to get done with it so I can balance work and my applications).
The plan I have chalked out, after going through the stuff on the ever-so-informative PG, includes studying Kaplan Premier- 2008, the Official Guide - 11th edition, and the Kaplan 800, in that order. However I am fairly new to preparing for the GMAT and would welcome any suggestions that you may have, especially on the test-prep front. Besides I would also be keen to join a study group based out of Hyderabad.

hey guys
icfai distance learning does provide u placemenets with a min. guarantee of 20k pm.

hey guys think frm a business point of view cos at the end of the day thats what all these colleges are they are business entities.

if you cancell after confirming you ought to be prepared to forfiet your money.

c'mon they stand a chance of loosing out on one seat n thats say about 4 lacs if you consider the expensive private colleges so put yourself in thier shoes n then opine.

also dude i dun think nm is worth forfieting the amnt over scmhrd cos though nm is a lil better they r both institutes in the same league
hope i havent offended anyone

1st ur the luckyest guy i knw so congrats uve got 2 of the best b schools in the country.

well i think in ur pplace isb makes alot more sence than iim - a

1. isb has cumpulsary work ex for its students so ull automatically get a richer student base. (i knw ppl r gonna b on my bass for sayin this)

2. its almost the same amnt 4 u as u said ur a foreign student.

3. ur already working so say u get a start of 8 lakhs , ur oppetrunity cost works upto that amnt thereby making iim more expensive than isb.

4. since uve been working for 5 years ur certainly goin to b able 2 manage with the course at isb though its just a year.

5. besides the starting salary aint the only imp thing its what u learn in an mba thats imp. n i think that both isb an iim give u an adequate opetunity to learn. cos thats wats gonna keep u growing at ur job.

6. only if u wanna change ur fieild or jump into entrepreneurship should u go 2 iim a. else ull b better of at isb

hope this helps
n yea do post wat u decide

I am in confusion whether to join LIBA Chennai or ICFAI Hyd.

FEES wise Liba is better as it is 50%
U might be knowing as u hail from Chennai

Pl suggest.

hey sandeep icfai- hyd is a far better college as compared to liba ur comparing across levels here.
its simply in another league n trust me it an investment in your career so if i was in ur place id grab it.

well i see no reason why any one should consider teaching not equivalent to work-ex

for another i dont think that itrs any different to a management job n specially in his case wherein he also had 2 market his coching institute.

infact very honestly the difficulty in being a faculty at a coaching institute is far more difficult than the jobs most ppl get after thier graduation.(atleast after graduating in commerce)

besides i knw of alot of ppl who are faculty at coaching institutes gettin in2 the top b schools every year.

hey pal
think over wat ur sayin
u really seem in 2 minds n this relationship is not 4 u trsut me its not 4 u

u dun love her u love that internet friend who u never saw u loved wat she said u loved wat u thought she looked like u din love the real gal.
as far as bein friends goes i think u should it dopesent make a hell of a diffrence if she doesent look good n u guys r friends does it.

also another thing i believe is that c'mon guys i dun blame him for not bein attracted 2 her now bcos of her looks. c dun u think all of us would b lyin 2 our inner selves in some way if v say that well inner bauty is wat counts n all that its all true but c lifes no movie dude its bein immpractical.

cos face it sex is an imp part of a relationship in the long run n u have 2 b attracted 2 the gal u love both physically n mentally , n if ur not on either counts its gonna turn sour later , this is a fact , seen it happen 2 ppl who r much more intelligent than i am seen marriages turn sour bcos of this n lots of shit.

however comin 2 ur problem dude pls pls dun keep her in hopes.
it'll screw up things trust me.
