Hello Everyone. Happy Independence Day to all who follow me on this blog and to the ones who plan to do in future. I have been too tied up with my work hence couldn't be active here, but hope to be frequent now.

By the way, did you know Copal Institute had campus hiring for the students. The companies who visited were NCR based leading IT company for its Investment banking operations domain, a Mumbai based Private equity firm, and few more. I know this as my friends' friends got selected in them. Anyways, they have geared up a lot and are doing so much for the students, isn't it?

Hi Naid,

This course will help you to learn Financial Modeling, Valuation Modeling & also you would be doing specialisation in Investment baking, private equity, equity research & credit research. This course will help you get an interview. You can look at this option to enter into KPO industry

Hi All,

I was wondering that too many colleges are facing placement problems nowadays including IIM's as per econominc times of 18th march. Only doing an MBA is not just suffifcient. So thought of starting a thread where everyone can suggest ways to improve marketability of a candidate or a differentiating factor which a candidate can mention in his/her resume.

How students can differentiate themselves & improve their marketability?

For finance students:

- Add a professional qualification like FRM, CFA

- Do a small certification/diploma course in financial research

- Work in a finance co. to gain work ex

For Marketing students:

- Do a certification course in Social Media Marketing

- Learn about Google ads & various other platforms where you can advertise yourself

For HR students:

- Certification course in PR

- Any other short term project with an HR co.

People please mention what can a student do improve his/her acceptance in the industry according to you.
