I got admit for the MS-MBA course at BU with 89K scholarship. But am in a dilemma now. I have an admit from Texas A&M; too with in-state tuition and 15K scholarship. In a dilemma now. Any inputs from anyone? would appreciate any help!

you want to post your profile? PM me/Neo your email id, we will add you to the group for admitted applicants. You may want to ask a few alums/current students on which one serves your career needs better, you haven't specified which industry/function you want to end up in.

Congratulations on the admit!

Just a day into waitlist so havent planned anything as of now. I'll sit over and decide over next month on how to move ahead. Retaking GMAT is one option i'm not very keen on. Apart from that i'll scan the world wide web for strategies to come out. Additional reco is one good option but how do we send the reco. First two were confidential. But the third one wont be confidential as we'll be attaching it in E Mail. Does that have any impact ?

If you send an additional reco, you would just ask the recommender to answer the reco questions in a word doc and then mail it to someone in the adcom. That's how I did it for Emory, every school has a different way of getting additional recos, but they all have that system in place.

Best of Luck mate!

Can anybody please post his or her interview experience .. thanks

Interviews are conversational in nature. Should consist of general questions around your work experience, examples on leadership and why UNC. Do make a note of which current students and alums you have spoken to.

hi naveen congrats on u r admit.

I applied in round 2 and was put in "waitlist" .

wat are the chances of getting admitted.

I really won't be able to comment on the chances of being admitted with a waitlist, on our admitted students group, there is a guy who was waitlisted in the EA deadline and got an admit around Jan 20th. But thats again not necessary for all the deadlines.

I would just suggest to follow the process and submit additional information (recos, scores etc.) and just follow up with the school on by when will the situation become more clear.

I checked my status online and I've been accepted!

Was just so damn nervous while checking the result...yet to get my email though.

Anyways, I guess now the wait for the scholarship (hopeful) begins!

Best of luck to all fellow applicants and congrats to those who got through!:-)

Hi everyone!

Got through to McCombs!

got an email on Saturday morning...status changed in a couple of days. Really really happy! :-)

they said scholarship details will be out in 3-4 weeks, so lets see...really hoping for something as McCombs doesn't have loans without co-signors :-(

Brief profile: Male/26/GMAT 740/TOEFL 117
5.3 years exp IT/ 2 years abroad, extra-currics good, average acads.

applied on Nov. 5th (Diwali day ), interviewed with alum around Dec end.

Let me know if someone needs help on this, look forward to connecting with fellow admits on the forum.

Congrats to other admits and best of luck to all applicants!

Anyone got an admit to CM yet??

I got an admit to CM, got the offer day before, deadline for deposit is Jan 20th.

I have not seen too many applicants on this forum for CM yet...hoping to see some more.

Hi parul / abhi_gmat,
I completed my application before R1 deadline and got the interview invitation email on 22nd Nov. Did my interview on 3rd Dec at off campus event and got the much awaited admit phone call on Jan, 4

Congrats mate!

you seem to be the first admit on this thread! all the rest here are waitlisted man :-(

could you post your profile please?

Not sure what went wrong while posting, duplicate post.

Just checked my Opus status and it says i am waitlisted

It seems they are only going to take indians with stellar gmats like 780 or something. Hope to see some admits here.

it seems private messages are still not working in PG, have tried replying to ur message thrice but to no avail...

As for the waitlist form, I just emailed it, selecting the feedback option.

Let me know if you need any further help.

One more question - Sorry if it has been answered elsewhere. Guidelines specify that the transcript must be mailed (hard Copy) to the university directly from the Undergraduate Education. Also all international applicants are required to validate the transcript throught EducationUSA.

has anyone really done these? Is it ok to just email / upload the scanned copy of original transcripts (With seal n all)? Doing these could be quite a task, i guess.

I really doubt if scanned copies would work, I also sent the hard copy via courier.
