Well Well Anirban...The futchaas are having a Ball of a time ( in tucchas' words) with 5 tests in 4 days. You really dont get to know when u run out of time.
The talk by Mr Sunil Handa was fantabulous and I suppose there are many more glimpses we gonna see of the WIMWI campus.
Got to catch up with some sleep as only tomorrow morning is my only opportunity...
A small update which might help everyone...

If you want a confirmation whether your draft has been received at the admissions office.
Just call the admissions office. They would ask for the application number and answer the query.
The adcom office people are really good and entertain you well.

BTW I could not post this is the google group as somehow gmail has been blocked from my office.

Hope this helps..................
I think You have opened two threads with the same name..

Final Converts: A,C,I,NITIE,IIFT

Joining : A

My thoughts: Hmmm... Actually my thoughts are different for different interviews.
IIMC: It was a chill interview. This was the only interview which I had where they did not ask me Tech questions. The whole of my interview was on Jhumpa Lahiri,Herman Hesse,Kala bandar episode of Dilli .I knew I had done well and was selected.

IIMK: It was my first IIM interview. My O My.. I cant get worse. It was my worst interview ever. They kept bombarding me with tech and out of the world questions.I still kept smiling bloody shamelessly. They told me at my face that I should prepare for other interviews well.So a reject.

IIML: It was a shocker when the results came out. I was more than 100% sure to convert this one. I answered each and every question and in the end they were very much impressed. They even asked me whether I wont be coming to lucknow and would be going to Kolkata being a bong.
I did not convert this one.

IIMI: Good 30-35 minutes interview. They asked me everything from tech, Movies, novels, General knowledge, some personal questions.I knew I had done well. So I converted.

IIMA: 25-30 mins interview. It was also like IIM I a complete interview package. They asked me everything from sports, Puzzles, Tech in fact they gauged me what sort of a person I am in those 30 mins.
I did well but being IIM A, I was keeping my fingers crossed.
I converted IIM A also.

What helped me:
Pagal guy junta with whom I really interacted. We had formed a IIM cal getters group in Pune. We discussed matters( ah... most of the time it was trash neways!!!) regarding everything. It really helped.

I did not revise my tech initially and i was over confident on my communication skills. So I got that kick ass in IIMK interview. I look back and that was the turning point. I prepared hell lot tech, math etc questions which really helped me to sail through!!

ALL the very best and I would be glad if I could help anyone in any aspect!!
Hi friends!!

Joining IIM A
Working in Capgemini, Pune
hi.i have not yet received pgdm admit letter but have seen last year's pdf of pgdm admission guidelines.

the letter will reach my home in ap while i work in gurgaon. so is it possible to obtain a similar doc for this year's admissions and print the acceptance form to fill it and send along with DD?i feel doing so will save a lot of time

but if they are sending acceptance form in some special kind of printed paper we must assume they want only the original form sent by them to be filled and posted. so can any body suggest anything because the 15 days left is not a lot of time.

Hey Dude!!

U from guwahati.. same here .. u joining IIM C.. which college!!!
Well is there anyone here, who got into IIM A and is not from an IIT... You know just to get a feel that maybe there is a chance for lesser mortals like me...

I don't know why do people need IIM after an IIT... I mean why study an engineering degree in one of the best schools in the world and leave Research and Development to start I-Banking... Cause moolah can't be the only reason for doing this...

I mean it's a chance for people like us who could have done better in engineering but were stupid and didn't preplan our future and got sucked up into a Z-grade college... We could try and try but the people and the world never forgets...

Well as my good friend used to say - "There is no victory against the evil forces of IITs" ;)...

And no Hate mails please.... And also congratulations to every one who has got into IIMs... peace...

Heyy Dude!!

I m not from any IIT, But m joining IIM A. I did not get thru IIT after a lot of hard work couple of years back. I joined an NIT instead. All my best friends have made it to IITs. But I am happy for them. After all they are my friends.
Last Year I had 3 final selections in one of the best B schools (e.g. IIT B etc), but I retrospected and made a decision to give one last shot for IIMs. So this year I have made it. Believe me its all about conviction.
I know inside IIM A I may not have the best of profiles as my other friends from IITs would have. I may not land up with the plum offers of 'Day 0'. But then my motive of getting into IIM A is not only the placements but something else. I am sure I would make the best of friends with Futtchaas(my batchmates!!) and Tucchass( our lovely seniors!!!) which would stay for the whole life. I am gonna lead a life of rigorous imprisonment(work load of IIM A :|) which I am gonna cherish later.
So.. its all about your convictions... your belief system.. what u want to do and where you want to land up..

All the very best..

May the devils be with u...
Just an update from my side.

This might help the waitlisted guys..

I am not joining IIFT as I have converted some other calls.

All the best Puys
