So I am writing this after I have considered all routes. I am almost about to compete my 3 years of workex by aug end this year. Now the company I am working for is going through a tumultuous phase and have already indicted of layoffs forget appraisal. With social media analytics experience of close to 3 years I am in a dilemma because I am 26 and this could probably my last shot at CAT. The problem area is there are not too many opportunity in the market as well. I have been searching for a job change for the past 8 months. Now the problem is I am not able to focus on my studies as work is hectic and consumes my weekend, also fear of losing my existing job has created pressure to save till the last chance. I know quitting for cat is not the right thing and aware of the fact that I will be questioned during PI. But what do I have to loose? I am not even sure that by nov or dec I will not be the one among the layoffs.

My question is to those who understand my situation or have quit their job for CAT and have got admits in some good B-schools. How did you guys justified your decision during PI?
