"Its not about how hard you hit. Its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward"

Ever wondered what the life of an IIM Bangalore student is like? Ever thought of crossing over those stone-walls and having a look inside? Well, this is your chance! Vikasana, IIM Bangalore's Social Service initiative brings to you the unique opportunity of stepping into the shoes of an IIM student! Presenting 'One Day @ IIMB', the flagship event of Vikasana's  'Joy of Giving Week', the annual giving festival which celebrates the spirit of sharing.

Vikasana every year celebrates 'Joy Of Giving Week' from 2nd October to 8th October. A number of charitable activities are held both inside and around the IIM-B campus. The flagship event during this week is 'One Day @ IIMB' which shall be held on 5th October this year. This is a one day event where students, corporate and others from different walks of life converge on the IIMB campus to experience the life of an IIM student for a single day. The participants experience classes, case competitions, assignments, quizzes and a lot more activities which give them a slice of the life of an IIM Bangalore student. This day presents you with the opportunity to listen to some of the most eminent professors of IIMB and to interact with them informally over meals.

But, wait! IIMB is not only about studies! You shall also be getting a chance to participate in non-academic events such as a 'Treasure Hunt'; that too in one of the most beautiful b-school campuses in India! The proceeds of this event shall be donated by Vikasana to its partner NGOs. It is an opportunity to learn and in the process to also help those who are less privileged. So, come be a part of the change! But hurry up, limited seats only! The selection for this event shall commence through an online bidding contest, bids for which can be placed on the website link mentioned below.

All the relevant information regarding the event can be found here: http://www.iimb-jogw.com/index.php/slideshow

You can also reach out to us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/OneDayAtIIMB

We look forward to seeing you on campus! So get ready, pack your bags and get started on a wonderful journey through the hallowed portals of IIMB.

No, it's usually not announced beforehand. You can start checking after the first week of April if there's any news. But my only advice would be to not trust any rumours and verify any doubts you may have directly with the PGP office.

The trend has been from April 10th - 15th. But it largely depends on the interview schedules as well.

You can use Italics for such award titles. Capital letters is usually not recommended.

For the reference section, is it compulsory that the referees have to be from my work/academic field??
BoringJob
Sudheender S @BoringJob

There is no mandatory requirement regarding the source of the reference. Its entirely at your discretion.

Having said that,if you have less than one yr of workex, then you may choose to source all your references from your academic field. If more than that then you can choose to have 2:1 ratio and so on. Ultimately, the referees responses should project a good image of you and bring about various dimensions to your persona.

Hi, In my CAT application, I have given my 10th and 12th percentages as 90.40 (actual 90.36) and 93.80 (93.75). I have rounded it off. Will that be a problem in IIMB?
