Hi seemanth,

Thanks for the info...

I had come across two sites which offer some online tests..
800score.com and catprep.com..

Any idea if these are good sites and whether the material in those sites are worth buying? (cat-prep charges $45 for five tests and 800score.com charges $19.99 for the same )

Have any of u guys bought these tests before...

Some feedback on this can be really helpful...
Arun,

Dont worry about ur Kaplan scores. They look ok to me...with an avg 600 kaplan score u will land up in 700's in GMATprep. Actually Kaplan has a weird way of calculating the total score. The thumb rule is to add 100 to whatever u get in Kaplan test. Atleast thats what i and my friends have done.

But note that the quant section in Kaplan tests is not what you will ultimately see in the gmat exam. Kaplan's quant is compartively easy. I would suggest that you take a GMATPrep exam and then gauge ur comfort level in Quant.

The Verbal section in Kaplan is defintely tough. But again to get a true representation of your comfort level take a GMATPrep exam.

Btw have u been using OG11. If u havent looked into it then pls do so asap. You have 3 weeks to go fr ur GMAT so u still have time incase u havent been doing OG.

I never took princeton tests so i cant say much abt it. May be other PGites can help you with this.

ATB fr GMAT.

Regards,
Dev

Thanks a ton Dev! It was quite a relief to know that myKaplan scores are not that bad..
To answer ur question, Yes , I have been using OG11. I had completed the Verbal part of it about a month ago.. guess i feel a little out of touch with it now....

And I made a mistake of taking one of my GMAT prep tests before starting any prep.. I do remember that the quants was much much tougher than I had expected it to be... I got a score of 650 in that... I am just saving the second GMAT prep tests for the last week... I was told it gives a reasonbly accurate estimate of what my final scores can be...

Thanks a lot for the feedback nevertheless!

Guys, I have taken 3 practice tests on the kaplan cd and my performance has been abysmal so far- scored 580,590, and 610 ... But on the online practice test , i scored 700.. but i felt the online free test was wayyyyyy tooooo easy by kaplan standards or even by gmac standards...
I think i am pretty comfy with maths.. make only 2or 3 mistakes even on kaplan.. but verbal seems to be a complete knock out.. minimum 13 mistakes in any test that i took... Is this the kaplan effect or is my english really that pathetic? need some serious advice...
just wanted to know if there is anyone else sailing on the same boat as i am... desperate to improve my scores and hardly have any time.. sept 5th is my exam and am not gettin any leave to prep for it...

I havent tried the princeton tests yet.. are they worth buying? Are there anymore online tests that can be taken for free ? I m virtually running out of time and have not many cd tests with me(except kaplan and GMATprep)

Can anyone suggest anymore CD tests that can be bought or taken?

I
Any one to give some gyan????????:......

I found Princeton Review good enough .... I mean all that matters to me is some new Questions!

This is what Princeton has:
1. One sectional test for each of the topics: PS, DS, SC, RC, CR(They call CR 'verbal argument')
2. Four Adaptive each for Verbal and Quans
3. Four Full Lengths

Thanks a lot man! Guess I ll buy that one then.. ..
Hi Arun ... I havent observed that with Kaplan .... Also with Princeton ....
Problem with powerprep or GmatPrep is they are based on the OGs and hence the overlap happens more often that desired :satisfie:

Thanks bdsam!

Just one more question.. how good is the princeton review.. and how many tests are there in the princeton CD? Any idea? and is it worth buying? I have booked my GMAT date for sept.5 th.. so I want to start taking full length tests..

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if any of u guys have used the Kaplan premier program CD . I have bought the book but am yet to take any of the CD tests. Just a small query regarding the same...

Do some of the questions on the Kaplan section tests on the CD overlap with those in the Full length tests? Is it therefore advisable to directly take the full length tests so that we do not get any exaggerated scores on the full length tests?I think in the GMAT prep CD most of them advise us to take the full length tests first and then the sectional practice tests.. So was wondering if that was an issue in kaplan premier CD also .

Please let me know guys if any of u have used the Kaplan premier program CD .. If so, please do tell me how it is.....

Thanks in advance,
Arun

Guys,
I am apping for ISB this year for the first cycle and the deadline for submission of applications is Oct 3rd.
I ve booked my GMAT date for sept 5th... I am worried that this might be too late a date to give GMAT and I may not have sufficient time to receive the scores and send them to ISB..
Is there anyone who can tell me how long it takes for the essay scores to come and does ISB accept applications with out essay scores and just the unofficial GMAT scores alone?

Guys, I recently bought the kaplan GMAT premier progam (with CD) ... The book seems to be pretty good too...

I have heard that there is another book called Kaplan 800... Does anyone here know how different this book is from the GMAT premier programme and is it worth buying that book? Also does it come with a cd ?And how much does it cost?

Guys just wanted to know if there is any soft copy of the kaplan GMAT prep material in circulation..If not, can you at least tell me if it is available in Indian stores and how much does the book generally cost?(Along with the CD that is..)
