Being a B.Com student, I don't think that you would require tuitions separately for DBF because the chapters are quite common. You can also look up for unknown terms on the internet. As I suggested earlier as well, buy the books beforehand and then decide whether you would require tuitions or not. (I didnt require separate tuitions for this)

You can apply for the exam right now as the eligibility criteria is 12th pass. I would suggest that you choose one of those years in which the study pressure is comparitively lower. Appearing for the exam in your B.Com 3rd year would definitely give you an advantage i.e. you will already have a fair bit of idea about all the subjects in the DBF examination.
There are 3 subjects:
1. Principles & Practices of Banking
2. Accounting & Finance for Bankers
3. Legal & Regulatory Aspects of Banking
Once you register for the exam, you will get approximately 4 months to study for it. I would suggest that you buy books earlier and start studying straightaway because that will give you enough time to crack the exam at one go. All the best!

No, it won't have any kind of negative effects as your qualification is valid forever. The moment you join a bank, your DBF qualification will get converted into JAIIB and after that you will also be able to appear for other exams such CAIIB, etc.

Yes, you can definitely apply for this course. But be sure that you want to get into the banking and financial services sector or else this course would be of no use. This Diploma will surely give you an edge over the other candidates specially in case of your banking interviews.
