@alphaviktor

And this is what I found for re-applicants. THis means no reading the past essays.. I might just be saved.

The admission decision will be made based on the current application.

mustang bhai.... The admission decision will be made based on the current application. .... but wont they even look at previous applications?? I mean if someone's goal itself has changed and now instead of Operations one wants to do Finance (jst for example, ) wont they bring it up in the interview considering he/she gets an interview call even after such a drastic change???
Anddd here I come.... for the Co2014... I gt dinged this time and here's my profile:

Male-27Yrs, Marine Engineer, presently at the rank of 2nd Assistant engineer,
already have the necssary number of recommendations for the promotion to 1st Assistant Engr, only need to clear the exams which I did not appeared for as I was confident of getting into Co2013 :banghead:

GMAT-710 (Q-49, V-38, AWA-5.5)
EC: Pretty decent, no community work though, but represented college in various Cricket and Football tournaments) Organized a few culturals in college....

Interview Experience: It was a pretty cool interview (or so I thought) and the panelists seemed to be pretty convinced with the answers..... gave me a case study too with lots of cross questioning on every solution provided by me..... I guess the basic point where i messed it up is "Why MBA?". See my basic reason here is that I want to shift to a land based job and not wander around like pirates but for the obvious reasons I cant state that to the adcom.... but that would have also affected my future goals part.... anyways would come to know abt the actual points only after I get the feedback ....

Anyways, it's just a start of a long journey again..... but i'm sure with the fellow puys, the journey would be again as beautiful as will be the sweet destination and we sure will make it this time....

Hey Puys, What do u think, Do I need to retake GMAT??? Will it make any difference at all even if I'm able to increase by 20 odd points????
Mukesh vaia,
March end ka ekm plan main apko bheja email main...dekh lijie...nice way to shell out some bucks to be amidst the pristine purity of the Himalayas :)

Hey Soubhg, If I remember correctly for March end u had mentioned some Laddakh trip on Co2013 forum.... how to get more info on that... I better go ahead and take that trip this time before attacking the application again...
hey puys.... are we not allowed to type names of institute here???/
Hi,

This is my first post and please count me in for 2014 thread. I would like to ask fellow puys in Delhi, or whoever may help to suggest me the best coaching classes for GMAT. I'm planning to give my first shot around July-August 2012. Mustang, if you may recommend me a good institute?

and, let make 2014 thread a huge success with lots of sharing

megha.... u may have a look at ******** Institute for your GMAT preperation.... its quiet good....
1. Who are you, what do you do...
I am a sailor by profession. Have touched 5 out of 7 continents in the world but still I want to see the world coz unlike the popular belief all we get to see is the various ports of the world and there isn't enough time to actually explore and more importantly enjoy and experience the places we visit....

2. Some of your bucket list items...
I have so many things on my list. Here are a few of those....

1. Sky Diving / Para Gliding (and it's not a by-product of ZNMD)
2. Play Guitar
3. Trip to Laddakh
4. Scuba Diving / Coraf Reef exploration / Shark diving
5. River Rafting
6. Bungee Jumping
7. Go to Alaska
8. Get a customizes Bat-Mobile made (ofcourse only the exteriors will be possible I guess)
9. Go on a biking trip across South America starting from the peninsular (Central) America uptill the tip where Atlantic and Pacific meets.
10. Fly a plane.
11. Do MBA from a very reputed institute.... (gt dinged frm ISB this time:banghead:)

and will keep updating it ...
What have you checked off your list, if any...
No. 5 and no.6

What are your next items on the list that you will be checking off...
As of now Scuba diving is next on the list.. will check it off within a month or so... Going to visit a friend in Andaman-Nicobar islands for mood uplift

Anything else that you would want to mention...
Another big idea in my mind right now is that on my 50th B'day (i.e. if I "live" till then, then I'll take a sabbatical for 2 years and go on a world tour then...... lets see how does that turn out to be....

Ok puys, this is coming a little late.

Firstly, congratulations to all the admits Hope this year at ISB, you guys achieve what you wanted to in your careers!

Secondly, waitlisted puys, keep the hopes up. As one says, it isn't over till it's over!

Thirdly, those who got rejects, it's not the end of the road. Most of you have other options, focus on those and things will work out in your favour :)

Last but not least, I got a deferred admit (as many people were sure, I would - with the low workex). And I'm going to reject it. ISB Hyderabad CO2013 was on the top of my list due to some personal reasons. Had put in a lot of effort to break the trend (of 2+ years workex admits). Didn't happen Mohali or CO2014 doesn't work in my favour. Have IIM-B and IIM-C interviews up in early March. Hope I get luckier there. So, the marathon continues :)

Met some really nice people here. Would love for our paths to cross sometime. Cheers!

Hey MBA2012, I was actually wondering that there hasn't been any response from you... congrats on the deferred admit, it would still be a confidence booster.... and ATB for all ur upcoming interviews...
