For those who found the last visualization esoteric, here is another one. The following interactive chart depicts the fees charged by 37 of India's top 45 b-schools (as per the PaGaLGuY B-school Rankings 2011) versus the seat intake for their flagship programs, segregated by whether the sch...

Interesting concept.. As a follow up to this, how about a Time Value analysis of returns over, say a 10-year horizon post MBA. The real value of 'higher fees paid for higher salaries' would make for interesting stats!

Howsoever my queries here sound silly enough I would request you to kindly attend to my queries:)

1) After the completion of the pgm, what are the various places one is posted to? i see a crisil branch in hyderabad.. ppl even get posted in hyd as well:)
2) How about pay packages after the completion of the pgm? i mean it would be around 5 for everyone?
3) any staying facility while doing the prgm? if there is no such thing, will there be help provided to locate a reasonable one by the management?

Thanks much for your responses in advance:) and no words to thank all of you who have been responding to our queries.. this is not my first query here in this thread:)

1)Almost everyone gets posted in Mumbai itself, atleast for the first year after course completion.(That may not end up being the case for Irevna, since no batch has passed out from there we do not know yet).

2)A minimum of 5 lpa has been given to all successful candidates till now. Mark-ups depend on a number of factors.

3)You have to make your own arrangements after the first 5 weeks. Though that has not been an issue till now since you have another 49 batchmates looking for accommodation. Seniors will guide you in the process. A list of brokers was also prepared last year for the benefit of new recruits.
Crisil management will play no role in this.

Please bear in mind, this is a work-cum-study program than the other way round, so you are treated as professionals.

That said, Seniors will surely guide you, as they have done so far

Subjective ratings do consider factors like- Deemed university under govt. scanner, more weightage than you would expect from purely statistical models. Such information could lead to a crippling blow to the college, hence junk-grade status has been given to IBSAR. Makes perfect sense, actually. What good are all the parameters if you could be asked to shut shop by the courts very soon?!

The ratings are atleast a beginning to make B-Schools comparable based on reliable data. It sure has its fair share of flaws, but given the fact that it is a first of its kind initiative, it is a good effort. Still it will take some time before aspirants can look up to it as a one-stop window for B-school info.

There is one basic difference between an MBA and CCAP. MBA programs are geared towards preparing business managers.

CCAP is as much MS(Finance) as it is MBA. It prepares you for the financial analytics domain, which is the core business of CRISIL. You are trained to be a financial analyst, not a manager.

In that sense it is more focused in nature whereas MBA programs are more broad based in nature. So a direct comparison of CCAP and MBA is rather unreasonable.
