with due appreciation of @IIMAscholar suggestion that FPM admission  process is rather subjective. However, pardon my ignorance as I have almost no knowledge of the same due to my late start. also, not able to dig deep in IIM's website as badly stuck in office responsibilities these days. Hence, any words of suggestion in the above queries will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

As long as your metal seems to be well deserved, there will be no problem in getting you shortlisted and then thru in the interviews.

Your academic ups and down though, will obviously be your main hurdle as the other candidates with straight As through out and willing to accept will corner the limited seats available first. However no one is holding it against you.

The FPM process, is much more than a job interview but otherwise you are basically treated as someone choosing a career and a life and not as a student proving yourself better than others.

You have to be shortlisted, then perform better than others in the interviews, then satisfy the common requirements of the FPM executive at the IIM concerned (in terms of commitment to academia, profession and career later) and get finally selected.

There may be additional written tests in between at interview stage to take care of some of the required academic rigor part but they are usually not assessed for performance component to the selection.

All the best. Make sure you spend a couple of hours every day on the planning and set down a Sunday for just this every week. That should be enough to let you concentrate on your career and not bother about keeping the job you already have ;)
