@damadol Superlike. Just tried to say the same thing in my comment too. The IIMS are trying to go the right way but this is a failed attempt. They need to find another way next time.

This approach by the iims to introduce diversity and improve the gender balance in corporates as well as in social strata could be a novel and landmark idea if indian education system were ideal as it is assumed to be. So many flaws which are pinted out above by many people is making this approach even more flawed. Our education system as well as the social culture is such that it produces Chaturs everywhere by trampling over the Ranchos. Our education in schools, classrooms have a different story and entarnce exams are a different story. People who are brilliant in there school days are forced to pick either medicine or engineering in their 9th or 10th standard itself( even before knowing what these are). They channelise all their energy for these entrance exams. These are supposed to make their life a freeway if cracked. But in these endevour somehow the so called board exams get a little less attention. As everyone will agree (even apurv, u have mentioned it) the board exams are mostly Chatur's turf with mugging and slogging being the parameter for excellence where as JEE is considered the brainy one's ball game. With so many by roads ( like the one mentioned above) how can some one judge hardwork just by looking at the board score which is so utterly rubbish. If hard work has to play a role then let that be of some 10 or 20 points(like work exp) and let the interviwer decide that depending on multiple parameters. 10th and 12th boards can a play a role as well as your JEE success or success in any other field ( let it be your passion for something). So i agree with the need for diversity but this way is totally wrong. Note: I have no sour grape situation as i get maximum points in IIMA sel criteria. But still think its not fair to refer to a flawed system if you want to get accurate measures. Note

[image] *PS:* The intention of the comic is not at all to mock womenkind or non-engineers. In fact the intention is not to mock anything at all. Frankly, there is no intention either, of anything. The comic came out of nothing and is supposed to be completely apolitical. _Co...

ns8_neha and Amrit Raj have said whatever i wanted to say. But i really wanna say this- those who feel this comic to be demeaning and this grace mark system is fair they sud look into themselves and ask 'whats more demeaning'. Are all the girls or the nonengineers so incapable that they need grace mark? I dont think so. Hence giving them grace marks is what i feel is demeaning. But those who are sure that they are actually so incapable- what can they say- they have to feel it(the strip) demeaning.
