in india...a student after the 10th standard..chooses careers based on his 10th marks...if he/she scores 80-85% and above...science is an obvious choice...veyr few really knw dat they wanna do e.g. law/humanities/sports/etc so generally the ppl who are academnically well off move to engg/medicine... and there is enuff diversity of student within engg. itself...its not dat all engg. think only in one way... the best rock bands come from engg colls...the biggest cultural fest r held by engg/ grads (MOOD I / OASIS etc)... and the ruppee symbol to was an engineer's brainchild... doing engineering duz mean dat all engineers have the same backgrnd...its jes dat they realize later on they dont wanna do it...but they r capable of doin well in wat they wanna do... so by giving more wieghtage to other fields is absolutely "bull S***" even if they paper had only an english component...there wud definately be more than 60% engg..clearing it...(dats wat i feel) Vikram Pandit is masters in electrical engg..today doin a fin job arun sarin, baba kalyani..etc..u can keep on naming..its the aptituade of the person and capability...not the fact dat he/she has dun engg...hence has nuthn new to bring to the class.... himanshu rai must understnd the flawed system...its not the US..where an arts/comm grad can survie easily..in india an engg grad can at least get a 3LPA job...the reason y many choose the path...survival is wat many think of first...rather than interest..

probably the court judges did'nt have children who gave CAT-2009...then probably they wud have relized the seriousness...instead of tellin IIMs to rectify mistakes...do the IIMs need telling??
