Alok, We consider CAT and GMAT score to take admission in IBS Business School. the last date to apply is 1st December 2014. If you score 60 percentile or above in CAT exam then only you are eligible to apply for IBS Business School, else you can take an aptitude test called IBSAT, conducted by ICFAI University to take admission in IBS Business School.

IBS Hyderbad is a constituent of IFHE Deemed University and it is UGC recognised. You can also check this link from the UGC website,    IBS Dehradun & IBS Jaipur campuses are recognised by UGC & their respective State Legislatures. IBS Dehradun,IBS Jaipur, IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Banglore, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai, IBS Pune are independent professional institutes offers PGPM. They are neither affiliated to nor are off-campus centers of any university. We at IBS follow our Very Own Course structure & Pedagogy. If we seek AICTE approval, then we have to follow their course structure & standards. That is the reason we are not opting for AICTE Approval. IBS is Flagship Brand for MBA and PGPM courses. ICFAI University deals with many other courses. ICFAI University is in Dehradun and Sikkim while IBS has its campuses in Hyd, Ahm, Blre, Mum, Pune, Kol, and Gur.

I want to apply to IBS through my (yet to be announced) CAT scores. Do I still need to schedule the IBSAT? Or can I just wait for the CAT results to be announced and then enter the relevant information in my profile at ibsindia.org? I have already paid and everything. Thanks.

Dear Ayush, if you are confident enough that you can score 60 percentile or above in CAT exam then you dont have to take IBSAT exam. otherwise you need to take IBSAT exam since failing to score 60 percentile in CAT exam will make you not eligible to apply for IBS Business Schools.
