Last month, we launched PaGaLGuY Prep in a rather basic sort of fashion to get a sense of how you all felt about our take on CAT prep online. Based on your feedback and suggestions, we took Prep back to the factory to add the next set of features and refinements are ready with PaGaLGuY Prep 2.0. AICTE plans to allot unique Enrollment numbers to every Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM/PGPM/PGDBM, etc) student in every approved Indian business school and put them on its website in a bid to streamline admissions. Think of it as a Unique Identification Number project for all MBA students in AICTE-approved b-schools of India. The move would end up curtailing certain varieties of admission frauds rampant in Indian b-schools, until of course, new loopholes are uncovered.

The just-over-an-year-old IIM Shillong is headed by a non-PhD Director who oversees an administration embroiled in random faculty appointments and irregular financial deals relating to the institute’s IT infrastructure, according to a detailed expose by Jam magazine editor Rashmi Bansal. If any of this is true, there is little reason to cheer about the seven new IIMs on the anvil.

The Summer Placements process for the 2009-11 batch of the Agri-Business Management (PGP-ABM) programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad ended on the fourth day with 17 firms recruiting 34 students.
