#8 December 21, 2009, 5:32 pm

@caterpillar jbims has one of the best industry interfaces.less number of permanent faculty doesnt make any diff. when some of the top notch people regularly visit your campus for lectures.

@caterpillar: Some people live in their own manufacured reality, a world where a person who’s actually done it all in the corporate world, teaches you the stuff within and beyond course books will also live a double life as a permanent faculty. They believe that senior industry people, many enjoying godly status in the industry, and having taught at bajaj for decades, (making them permanent faculty as far as allegiance to the college is concerned) really care about working under a state university.

No matter, that’s just one person less from the one lakh plus students who have been preparing hard for a shot at becoming the lucky 120 who get to study under these faculty. I don’t think the students who have completed a year of their MBA at other colleges and still give the entrance, ready to leave those colleges to join Bajaj would be missing you either.

Having faculty like India’s second biggest stock investor, a former executive director at a top FMCG, turnaround experts, branding gurus for top brands helps one focus on pertinent issues rather than adopting such an insect-like perspective..

This is an awesome job guys..
about the inflated thing.. i did not understand what looks inflated to isITokIfI in this..
it is much better and real picture than those who claim to have finished the process in 2,4,6 days which is far away from reality…

i sincerely advise the people who are reading the summer report to take it with a pinch of salt. All things are not true in the report. thts the way a b-school functions, at least in India.

@Ankur – 15% of the total seats are reserved for the OMS (outside Maharashtra state) candidates. This come out to be 18 seats for JBIMS. One can apply for centralised admission through the marks secured from various competitive exams like CAT,XAT and others. Please refer to the website http://www.dte.org.in/mba/ for all the details.

I think u r the only sensible guy over here in this forum……others just seem to b in the awe of the inflated reports by INDIAN b schools……i dont want to say that JB is not good…..Actually JB n FMS r the best INDIAN b schools in my personal opinion……reasons being the very affordable fees n high return on low investmnts(in case u manage to get good job…..otherwise everything is useless……irrespective of the college that u pass out of…..doesnt matter even if u pass out of IIMs or any other top notch Indian b school….probably same is applicable to IVY leage schools as well…..getting into good college doesnt mean getting into best company or getting a top placement…..only a few students manage to get it….)Alas, many good things r inflated abt our so called best B-schools ………..u will never b able to knw these facts just by reading articles from sites like Pagalguy……..u need to find it on ur own….that is hw it is……n this is not my opinion but the fact that i knw……

however, i do not want to discourage anybody from joining these schools…..just wanted to share the thing which only 1 % or less than that knw.

JBIMS is still going strong…and it’s prove it’s point once again of being one of the best b-school in the country…..

@isITokIfI
ya, i totally agree with you. my only point of concern is that these b-schools should give real facts & figures so that a prospective student take an informed and well balanced decision. the race among b-schools to be on TOP is killing so many dreams and as well as depriving students to pursue other avenues.

HI … well done JBIMS and thanks PG for this useful info.
DO we have similar summer placement news for other collegs this year? I am particularly interested in the summer placement of NMIMS. On their website , there is no news of the stipend that is offered and the companies that have visited their campus for summer placements.

Many thanks….

My passion for JBIMS after reading this report has increased immensely and my motivation to prepare for cet is just getting stronger and stronger after missing Jb by 1 mark last year…i don’t wanna miss it this time…

@Shivangi Narayan – Thanks a lot,Shivangi for the info. I needed to ask 1 thing. I am a B.E 2003 passout with 5.5 years work-ex in IT company. I want to know, is it good for me to join JBIMS 2 yr MBA,if I manage to convert the call, @ the age of 28? Or I should drop off the option of going for 2 yr JBIMS MBA option and strictly think of 1 year MBA,where getting into, is more tougher? Your reply on this would prove useful to me.Thanks in advance…
