CAT 2009: Day 8 too, the same story
As per our reports, two labs in the morning slot and one in the evening slot at Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Byculla, Mumbai have been cancelled and many students have been asked to wait for that ever elusive SMS from Prometric regarding the correct schedule of their centers. Students were again in the dark about the their examination schedule and little help was provided by Prometric Proctors present on the centers, who also were as clueless about the scenario as the students themselves. Some of the students whose tests were rescheduled on December 3, 2009 have still not received any response from Prometric regarding their new test dates. Although there were reports of centers getting cancelled in Mumbai, there were no reports of anything as such from Bangalore (as of now). A press note released by Prometric today says, “With reference to rumours that the CAT has been cancelled in certain test centres in Bangalore, Prometric would like to clarify that this is not true. Testing is proceeding in all test centres across Bangalore as scheduled”. Day 8 of the CAT online test also did not go without cancellations, rescheduling and all the dreaded phenomenon that have been keeping the students on their toes ever since the start of CAT 2009.
