It gives complete information about the type of students with diverse backgrounds. Each class would be a rich source of knowledge and interaction, no doubt about it. ISB really carved itself out and will provide a perfect model for other B-Schools as well.

@sudiptodey_15 , may be 0.01% , ISB has had a miserable time trying to place the core sector people from day 1 ( leave aside last yr which was a disaster).ISB only takes people from the core sector , psu’s ,etc in for “divesity ” factor .Most of the core sector companies have long relationships with the iim’s , xl , spj , etc and do not recruit from isb.Major isb recruiters such as maytas , satyam – engineering services , REL are in bad shape.also the salaries demanded by the isb-grads are another issue .( such high salaries are justified or not is a different issue ).In case u want to work for companies like punj go ahead to isb otherwise the one yr program at the iim’s is anyday a better option for non IT people.attend any road show from isb and then one from iim’s , and see the difference yourself….

how is isb compared to top iims like iim-a and iim-b when it comes to placement?? do companies like mckinsey, bain, bcg, goldman, barclays etc come to isb to recruit students and, more importantly, if they do come for recruitment, are the positions given to isb students senior to the positions given to iim guys (considering isb intakes havehigher average work-ex than iim intakes )??

Hey guys, I just passed out of NITK Surathkal and i’m working in my family business of trading in iron and steel products. Does ISB consider applicants coming from a family business background?

Dear funemployed
All the top recruiters like Mckinsey, BCG, BOOZE, ATK, Google, Microsoft, Golman Sachs, deutsche bank come to ISB. In our batch we have about 140 IITians. ISB has one of the highest average GMAT scores in the world.

I am a current ISB student (and FYI I was a BLCKI in CAT). The data is authentic. You can mail me if you need any specific info (I will give u my phone number)

can someone please tell me that what is the weightage given to the 10th & 12th marks for selection into ISB?? Also, if a sales operations work-ex is preferred over others ?

ISB is not at all good choice for IT bound students. IIMs are much better, even XRLI, XIMB. Earlier ICFAI was good, but it lost it’s focus
