NITIE: Blood donation camp organizedFree thalassemia check up was organized in association with Think Foundation, a NGO, committed to the cause of preventing the spreading of this genetic disorder. Every year about 10,000 children with thalassemia major are born in India, which constitutes 10% of the total number in the world. This free check up was aimed at spreading the awareness about this disorder among the younger population and to avoid future Thalssemia majors. As many as 158 people took part in this free check up.
