@ sajjansin
1. The first sentence on Deanship makes no sense.
2. U dont know about the course structure and the brief ourlines of the course given in the interview don't equip you in making superficial judgements.
3. How does coming up with a new and niche course reflect poor vision? I fail to understand your argument.
4. FMS has one of the lowest intakes across all B schools.
5. MBA aspirants get education loans at decent rates; the fee itself is just a fringe benefit but not a deciding factor.
6. Believe me, it is the most difficult to work in a government setup; forget about getting government support.
7. I question your grounds on raising the issue of alumni help and club mentality of alumni. Your sources could be grossly misleading.
8. Just ask any sane, informed person you know- are FMS and JBIMS examples of 'failed departments of management'.
If u still have doubts do PM on PG, we could fix up a meeting in person, my pG ID- puneet.kokru.
My request to you to kindly refrain from posting such comments when your own faculties of thought are questionable.

Universities have rotating Deanship and possibly it is not on merit alone. The expression on the difference between MBA Vs MBA (Service) in the interview reflects what happens when a specialist takes over and start talking on Business. It reflects poor vision on the part of FMS. FMS is surviving on location, good intake, low fees and being government support of alumini and club mentality of alumini network. Parallel example is Jamnalal Bajaj of Mumbai. It started very early still it is equally a failed department of management of a university as any other university. It has done little better than others since it was not exactly a convert from Department of Commerce.
